PMS 7580 C is part of the Pantone PMS (Pantone Matching System) collection. The color presents a muted, earthy brown with subtle red and orange influences, evoking a stable, organic, and robust vibe. It is frequently described as grounded, understated, and reliable within brand and display environments. With a relatively low LRV of 17.32, it offers a noticeable depth suited to professional, composed, and technical palettes.
PMS 7580 C appears distinctly dark, as indicated by its LRV of 17.32. The color leans warm in tone, informed by its hue positioning and subtle red-orange undertones. PMS 7580 C exhibits moderate saturation, presenting a muted and earthy chroma rather than vividness. The undertone has an organic brown base with subtle, muted red influences. The color demonstrates moderate finish sensitivity; gloss or sheen levels can noticeably affect depth and dimensionality.
PMS 7580 C works well in branded spaces, displays, or environments where a sense of solidity, technical reliability, or earthiness is desired. For best results, align substrate preparation to achieve uniform coverage, as darker, muted browns may accentuate surface imperfections. Anticipate perceptual changes under different lighting and finish levels; higher gloss may accentuate red overtones, while matte finishes will appear more subdued. PMS 7580 C provides substantial contrast against lighter elements but can visually merge with other dark, warm tones if not carefully separated.

Pantone books provide a reference standard for PMS 7580 C but are not intended to predict the exact appearance of a painted finish. Variables including paint type, gloss level, and the underlying surface can alter how PMS 7580 C appears in practice. For critical projects, always sample PMS 7580 C paint on the actual substrate and under your project lighting to confirm acceptance before full production.
One spray can of PMS 7580 C generally covers about 20 square feet with single-coat application. Actual coverage depends on factors such as surface texture, application method, and the number of coats required to achieve an even finish. Dark, muted colors like PMS 7580 C may need extra coats for uniform brand appearance, especially over contrasting base colors. Estimate project needs based on total surface area and plan for extra material if high coverage or deep color is critical.
The appearance of PMS 7580 C is strongly influenced by lighting conditions. Colors can shift under different light sources such as daylight, fluorescent, or LED. This means PMS 7580 C may appear warmer, cooler, lighter, or darker depending on where it is viewed. To ensure the intended brand result, always evaluate PMS 7580 C on the finished substrate and under the same lighting used in the actual display environment.
PMS 7580 C is intended for brand color reproduction and visual consistency rather than restoration of existing surfaces. If you need a true color match for an existing part, the recommended process is to send a physical sample for custom matching. This helps account for variables such as fading, finish, or material differences, which a PMS reference code alone does not address.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 7580 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
