Pantone™ PMS 7564 C

PMS 7564 C is a highly saturated orange, which means its coverage and hide may be lower than less vivid colors. For best results and to ensure uniform, brand-accurate appearance, apply PMS 7564 C over a primed or neutral white base, and plan for multiple coats, especially when covering contrasting or dark substrates. This is important for both spray paint and liquid paint applications to achieve solid, even color that meets brand expectations.

Sampling PMS 7564 C is strongly recommended for high-visibility brand installations, permanent retail environments, or any project where precise color appearance matters. Sampling is also important when the project includes multiple substrates, complex lighting, or if formal brand approval is required. Reviewing a physical paint sample alongside a Pantone reference under your actual lighting conditions helps ensure acceptance before starting production.

PMS 7564 C, like other Pantone PMS colors, does not specify finish, gloss level, or substrate conditions. For this reason, it is not a reliable specification for touch-up or repair of existing coatings. Pantone codes are intended for matching new applications according to the standard, not for matching aged, weathered, or previously coated surfaces. Always evaluate real painted samples if an exact touch-up match is required.

For PMS 7564 C, gloss finishes increase visual punch and color saturation but can create glare under strong lighting. Matte finishes reduce glare and reflections, providing a more even appearance at close range but may appear slightly less vivid. Your best choice depends on the viewing distance, lighting conditions, and brand intent. In environments with strong directional lights or up-close viewing, matte may help visibility, while gloss may emphasize vibrancy from a distance or under softer light. Always review physical samples in your intended lighting before finalizing.

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.

We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
