Pantone™ PMS 2387 C

PMS 2387 C can look different across substrates because each material absorbs, reflects, and interacts with paint in its own way. Factors such as surface texture, porosity, and gloss level all affect color perception. Highly saturated blue-violets like PMS 2387 C are especially sensitive to these differences. For brand or display projects, always evaluate PMS 2387 C on the specific material and finish that will be used in the final application. This step helps ensure the result aligns with your expectations and brand standards.

For PMS 2387 C, finish selection impacts both look and visual impact. Gloss finishes make colors appear deeper and more saturated but increase glare and may highlight surface imperfections. Matte finishes reduce glare and reflection, providing a more even, subtle appearance but may mute the visual punch. If maximum vibrancy is desired and glare will not be an issue, gloss can be effective for PMS 2387 C. If viewing distance is close, lighting is bright, or the goal is a low-reflection brand environment, matte may be the better choice. Whenever possible, review sample panels under the intended lighting before finalizing your selection.

Repeat orders of PMS 2387 C may show small differences due to batch variations, finish, and application method. For the most consistent results, always use the same paint format, sheen, and approval process as your original project. Reference the same Pantone PMS standard or approved sample when reviewing colors for new orders. Using the same supplier and providing project notes also support better alignment between orders, especially with highly saturated colors like PMS 2387 C.

To order PMS 2387 C paint, select the desired paint type (such as spray paint or another available format), choose the finish (matte or gloss), and indicate the quantity needed. Review your selections to confirm they match your project requirements for material, application, and finish. If your project requires evaluation on specific substrates, request samples before full production, especially for brand or display work where color precision is critical.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.
