PMS 2334 C is part of the Pantone PMS (Pantone Matching System) collection, designed for standardized color communication in branding, marketing, and industrial design contexts. The appearance of PMS 2334 C can be described as subdued, deep, muted, earthy, and stable. It carries a technical and purposeful visual identity suitable for projects requiring dependable visual alignment and understated brand presence.

PMS 2334 C exhibits a dark appearance; it has a low light reflectance value (LRV 13.2). The color presents a warm tendency, consistent with its position on the hue angle scale. PMS 2334 C has low to moderate saturation, appearing muted rather than vivid. The undertone of PMS 2334 C is subtly brown, giving it an earthy quality in most conditions. The color’s depth and muted character may display finish sensitivity; higher gloss levels can increase visibility of surface texture and slightly amplify chromaticity.

PMS 2334 C functions well in branding situations requiring a controlled, understated color presence without high reflectance or visual glare. It is particularly effective where a neutral yet warm tone is needed to minimize distraction or to serve as a supporting background. Users should be mindful of how finish selection (matte, satin, gloss) will influence perception of depth and surface uniformity. As with other dark, muted colors, careful surface preparation is recommended to minimize uneven coverage and to prevent highlight of defects. Compared to more saturated or lighter colors, PMS 2334 C generally absorbs more light and can appear even deeper in low ambient lighting.

Similar colors:

PMS 2335 C – Slightly lighter and more chromatic, providing more visual impact while retaining warmth.

PMS 2336 C – Warmer, with a subtly redder undertone for a richer visual effect.

PMS 2329 C – More neutral and less saturated, offering a subdued appearance with reduced warmth.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 2334 C

What should I know about coverage and hide when using Pantone PMS 2334 C paint for display and branding applications?

Pantone PMS 2334 C is a dark, muted color with low to moderate saturation. While it generally covers better than highly saturated bright colors, its depth and earthy tone can still reveal surface texture or imperfections, especially at higher gloss levels. For best results, ensure careful surface preparation and use a primer if covering light or uneven surfaces. Plan for at least two coats for uniform coverage and to achieve the correct visual alignment for branding or display projects. Always test your process on a sample panel to confirm coverage and finished appearance for PMS 2334 C in your environment.

Are there special steps for applying PMS 2334 C paint to plastics or similar materials?

When using PMS 2334 C paint on plastics or other low-surface-energy materials, adhesion can vary widely by substrate. Many plastics require a specific primer or prep step for lasting paint performance. Always test the PMS 2334 C paint on a sample of your actual plastic before proceeding with full production. This step will help ensure both adhesion and color appearance meet your branding or display needs.

How do I order paint for Pantone PMS 2334 C to ensure the correct color match?

To order paint that matches Pantone PMS 2334 C accurately, always specify both the full Pantone code and any suffix, such as 'C' for coated. Relying on only the color name can lead to confusion, as Pantone names and numbering are standardized and each code targets a specific color in the Pantone PMS system. For consistent, brand-aligned results, confirm the exact code (PMS 2334 C) with your brand guidelines or project requirements before placing an order.

What affects shipping transit time for Pantone PMS 2334 C paint orders?

The shipping transit time for PMS 2334 C paint depends on your location and the shipping method selected at checkout. Production timelines may also vary based on product format and order volume. If your project has a firm deadline, consider expedited shipping and plan extra time to accommodate both production and transit. Check your order confirmation for estimated shipping details and contact support with any timing concerns for PMS 2334 C.

How quickly will I receive my paint matched to Pantone PMS 2334 C?

Interior and exterior house paints usually ship within 1 to 3 business days, while custom spray paint typically takes 3-5 business days to ship. Can I use the Pantone PMS 2334 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
