PMS 2311 C from the Pantone PMS collection is a yellow-green with a balanced, natural vibe. It reads as organic, clean, and reserved rather than bold, bringing a grounded, subtle energy to brand materials or displays. This color is used in professional environments that require a noticeable, but not overwhelming, green-yellow tone. Its overall feel is earthy, understated, technical, and adaptable.

PMS 2311 C appears moderately light, with a light reflectance value (LRV) of 42.34, giving it mid-level brightness.

The color has a warm tendency due to its yellow-green hue positioning.

This color maintains moderate saturation, appearing neither fully muted nor intensely vivid.

PMS 2311 C shows a subtle yellow undertone that can become more pronounced under certain lighting conditions.

The color is moderately sensitive to finish; gloss levels may increase its apparent vibrancy and warmth.

PMS 2311 C works well in environments requiring an identifiable color that avoids excessive brightness or boldness. It is suitable for brand displays, signage, or exhibit elements where a subtle but present yellow-green is needed. Because its undertone and warmth can shift depending on surrounding finishes and lighting, assess the color using both a physical Pantone guide and a paint sample applied to the actual surface. Surfaces should be smooth, and coverage checked to ensure evenness, as muted greens can highlight application inconsistencies compared to both paler and more saturated alternatives.

Similar colors:

  • PMS 2298 C: Slightly lighter and less saturated, offering a more pastel yellow-green effect.
  • PMS 2300 C: Warmer and more chromatic, reading as a bolder, more vivid yellow-green.
  • PMS 2313 C: Darker and somewhat more muted, adding a subdued and natural impression.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 2311 C

How is Pantone PMS 2311 C used to ensure brand consistency in marketing and display environments?

Pantone PMS 2311 C is selected as a brand color to provide a recognizable and consistent visual identity across logos, displays, and marketing environments. By specifying PMS 2311 C, brands communicate a precise color target so various vendors can reproduce the same yellow-green shade on different materials and surfaces. Using the pantone code helps maintain color consistency, which is important for unified brand experiences. For best results, always compare physical paint samples and confirm color appearance under the intended lighting conditions.

What does it mean to order a Pantone PMS 2311 C paint match?

When you order a Pantone PMS 2311 C paint match, you are requesting a paint color that visually matches the standardized Pantone target for PMS 2311 C. This color code refers to a specific appearance in the Pantone system, not to a particular paint formula, coating process, or surface finish. The paint you receive will be matched to the published color standard under controlled conditions, but its appearance can vary depending on application method, finish, and substrate. Refer to a physical Pantone guide and review a sample applied to your actual surface before full production.

How can I get help choosing the right paint type for Pantone PMS 2311 C?

If you are unsure which paint type is best for PMS 2311 C, contact MyPerfectColor with details about your project. Provide information on your application surface, expected exposure (indoor or outdoor), and your desired finish. This helps select the most suitable paint format, such as spray paint, urethane, or other available options, to achieve accurate results that are visually aligned with the Pantone standard. Getting the right product improves color consistency and performance for your brand display or marketing use.

What should I consider if applying Pantone PMS 2311 C paint to plastics or low-energy surfaces?

When using PMS 2311 C on plastics or low-energy surfaces, be aware that these materials may need specific primers or surface preparation for proper adhesion. Performance can vary between plastic types, so always test the selected paint and primer combination on the actual material before starting full production. This ensures satisfactory color appearance and durability and helps confirm that PMS 2311 C will meet brand standards on your unique substrate.

How quickly will I receive my paint matched to Pantone PMS 2311 C?
All paint is custom-made to order. While most orders ship within 48 hours, the lead-time for paint made to match Pantone PMS 2311 C depends on the type of paint needed. Interior and exterior house paints usually ship within 1 to 3 business days, while custom spray paint typically takes 3-5 business days to ship. The transit time depends on your location and the shipping method you choose. If your need is immediate, select Expedited Production during checkout. Most expedited production orders ship within 24 hours on business days. Please contact MyPerfectColor if you are concerned about a specific deadline. Can I use the Pantone PMS 2311 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

How do I convert PMS 2311 C to a different color from another paint company?

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 2311 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
