PMS 2105 C is a Pantone Matching System (PMS) standard color, widely used in brand-facing and marketing-focused environments requiring precise color consistency. This color conveys a sophisticated and assertive vibe, being deep, bold, and highly chromatic with a clear cool undertone. Its very low Light Reflectance Value (LRV 3.36) indicates it appears almost blackened in low light, delivering a dramatic, attention-commanding presence. The finish can influence its perceived vibrancy and depth.
PMS 2105 C is very dark, as indicated by its low LRV (3.36). The color is cool-toned, trending towards the magenta end of the red-violet spectrum. This color is highly saturated, resulting in vivid, intense coloration. The underlying undertone is bluish, adding to the cool, rich character. PMS 2105 C can be sensitive to finish; gloss enhances its vibrancy, while matte finishes appear even darker.
PMS 2105 C functions well in contexts demanding visual strength and precise brand alignment, such as retail displays, prototyping, and event environments. Deep saturated colors like this require careful surface preparation for uniform coverage, and additional coats may be necessary to ensure opacity over lighter substrates. Lighting should be evaluated, as this color will appear nearly black in some installations, especially in matte finishes or dim conditions. Compared to similar deep magentas, PMS 2105 C is less red and more blue-influenced, which may affect compatibility with adjacent hues in branded environments.
This Pantone PMS color is defined by the Pantone Matching System standard. Evaluate the color using a physical Pantone reference and a real paint sample in the intended lighting and finish. Paint appearance varies by finish and lighting.

Pantone PMS 2105 C is defined by the Pantone Matching System and serves as a standardized color reference for branding. Using PMS 2105 C allows marketing, display, and fabrication teams to specify one exact color target, helping to maintain a unified, recognizable visual identity across different materials and vendors. This approach supports brand consistency by providing a common standard that all suppliers can reference when producing signage, displays, or brand environments.
PMS 2105 C is a deep, saturated color that can highlight coverage differences, especially over large surfaces. To achieve an even appearance, start by preparing the substrate thoroughly and priming as needed. Apply PMS 2105 C in multiple light coats rather than trying to cover in one pass. Consistent spray or application technique helps reduce streaking or patchiness. Inspect between coats with consistent lighting and add additional coats if areas appear lighter. Allow for full drying between coats to evaluate true coverage.
Yes, the finish or gloss level can strongly affect how PMS 2105 C is perceived. Gloss finishes tend to enhance vibrancy and brightness, while matte finishes make PMS 2105 C appear deeper and darker, sometimes nearly black in low light. When matching to a Pantone reference, always compare samples in the same finish and lighting conditions. Do not expect a matte and a gloss version of PMS 2105 C to look identical side by side, even if they use the same formula.
Choose the paint type for PMS 2105 C based on where it will be used. For exterior branding installations or displays, select an exterior-grade product to handle UV, weather, and environmental exposure. For indoor environments, an interior-grade format is typically sufficient. Both options are matched to the same PMS 2105 C target, but the product chemistry is tailored for different conditions. Confirm your use case before ordering to ensure the right performance and color consistency for your project.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 2105 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information.
