PMS 7533 C from the Pantone PMS system is a very dark, subdued brown with a naturalistic and grounded appearance. It conveys an organic, earthy, and authoritative vibe, often described as muted, substantial, and stable. Typical for Pantone PMS standards, this color is engineered for consistent reproducibility across brand implementations, particularly in environments seeking an understated but impactful earth tone.
PMS 7533 C is very dark, with an LRV of 5.09 indicating limited light reflectance. The color has a warm tendency, evoking brown clay or wet earth. Saturation is moderate, with a subdued, natural chroma that avoids overt vibrancy. The undertone is earthy and leans toward the yellow-brown spectrum. Finish can influence apparent richness and visibility of undertones; glossier finishes may subtly intensify the brown.
PMS 7533 C is frequently specified in branding programs that require a reliable, natural brown for packaging, environmental graphics, or fixtures. The color is often referenced in display fabrication where a grounded, non-intrusive background is desired.
PMS 7533 C works well in contexts requiring a stable, natural foundation or a neutral base that performs across a range of materials and lighting conditions. It is effective for display elements, branded environments, and signage where an organic look is required without added warmth or intense chroma. When using PMS 7533 C, evaluate color targets under the actual site lighting and on the intended substrate, as darker browns may shift noticeably between matte and gloss finishes. Compared to other earth tones, PMS 7533 C maintains a lower chroma and a darker value, contributing stability without drawing attention.
This Pantone PMS color is defined by the Pantone Matching System standard. Evaluate the color using a physical Pantone reference and a real paint sample in the intended lighting and finish. Paint appearance varies by finish and lighting.

Pantone PMS 7533 C is commonly specified as a brand-standard color for signs, displays, and exhibit components that require consistent visual identity. Using PMS 7533 C as your color target ensures alignment with brand standards when accuracy across different vendors and materials is important. For best results, always evaluate a painted sample of PMS 7533 C on the actual substrate and under the intended lighting, since darker earth tones like this may shift in appearance depending on finish and environment. This approach helps you verify the match before full production.
If you are unsure which paint format or type is best for Pantone PMS 7533 C, contact MyPerfectColor with details about your substrate, whether the project is for indoor or outdoor use, and the kind of finish you want. This information allows MyPerfectColor to recommend a product option that aligns with your intended application and performance requirements. You can discuss options like spray paint, paint pens, bottles, or larger quantity coatings based on your needs.
Pantone PMS 7533 C is a proprietary standard from Pantone and does not have a reliable direct equivalent in other paint brand collections. Most paint companies use unique palettes, and cross-references are rarely exact, especially for nuanced or muted Pantone colors like PMS 7533 C. For brand-required projects, always specify PMS 7533 C and use a physical Pantone reference and a painted sample to confirm correctness on your application.
Ordering a standard Pantone PMS 7533 C match is recommended when your goal is visual brand consistency for marketing displays, signage, exhibit elements, or prototypes. This approach is effective when the Pantone reference is your defined color target and strict substrate-to-substrate matching or high-volume approval workflows are not required. For permanent or high-visibility installations, consider sampling and confirming the match on your chosen substrate and finish.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
