PMS 7513 C is part of the Pantone PMS (Pantone Matching System), a standardized color reference used for consistent reproduction in branding, marketing, and display environments. Visually, PMS 7513 C presents an understated, warm, and approachable character. It registers as muted, soft, and desaturated, with subtle pinkish-beige undertones. The color reads as light to mid-value, imparting a grounded but gentle appearance that works well where brand softness or warmth is required.

PMS 7513 C has a light appearance (LRV 58.47), making it noticeably brighter than most mid-tone neutrals.

The color shows a distinct warm tendency, leaning toward beige-pink and away from gray or yellow.

PMS 7513 C exhibits muted chroma, resulting in a low-saturation, soft look.

The undertone is clearly pink-beige, rather than orange or pure neutral.

The color can be sensitive to finish; in gloss, its warmth is heightened and it may appear rosier, while in matte, the desaturated quality is more pronounced.

PMS 7513 C is operationally useful for environments or components where a soft brand accent or approachable, modern neutrality is needed. It performs consistently under a range of lighting conditions but may shift slightly toward warmth under incandescent lighting. When specifying this color, ensure even substrate preparation to avoid highlighting surface imperfections, especially in low-gloss applications. PMS 7513 C stands apart from other Pantone warm neutrals due to its subtle pink tone, offering a more contemporary, human-centric appearance than conventional beige or buff.

Similar colors:

  • PMS 475 C – Slightly lighter and less pink, trending more toward pale beige.
  • PMS 7520 C – Deeper and more muted, presenting a duskier, taupe-inflected warmth.
  • PMS 7604 C – Lighter and cooler, with less warmth and a more subdued effect.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 7513 C

What should I know about matching Pantone PMS 7513 C paint accurately across different materials and finishes?

Pantone PMS 7513 C is a standardized target, but actual matches may look different depending on the substrate, application method, and lighting. This is true for all Pantone colors, especially those with muted or soft undertones like PMS 7513 C. MyPerfectColor uses precise color measurements and samples to achieve close visual agreement with the Pantone reference, but results can vary slightly on various surfaces or under different lighting. If you need brand-critical accuracy, especially on multiple materials or for large installations, consider obtaining a sample or confirming the match on your actual substrate and in typical viewing conditions before final production.

How can I get help choosing the best paint type for PMS 7513 C for my project?

To ensure the PMS 7513 C paint you select delivers the intended visual result and durability, reach out to MyPerfectColor with details about your substrate, exposure conditions, and desired finish or sheen. The team can recommend the most appropriate paint, such as spray paint, paint pens, or housepaint, to meet branding and display needs. Communicating your project requirements up front helps avoid mismatches in appearance or performance.

How does the finish of PMS 7513 C affect its appearance in real-world applications?

The visual impact of PMS 7513 C can change noticeably depending on the selected finish. In a gloss or satin finish, this color's warmth and pink-beige qualities become more prominent, making it appear slightly rosier and brighter. Matte finishes tend to mute the saturation, highlighting the understated and soft qualities. If the finish is a critical element in your brand presentation, it helps to view a sample of PMS 7513 C in the exact sheen you will use before making a final selection.

What hide and undercoat considerations apply when using PMS 7513 C in paint or spray paint?

PMS 7513 C is a light, muted shade, but like many Pantone brand colors it may require careful surface prep and proper undercoating for uniform coverage. Using a suitable primer or base coat, preferably in a light or neutral tone, can help achieve an even finish and reduce the number of topcoats needed. Planning for at least two coats is often advisable for brand displays, especially if painting over darker or highly contrasting surfaces. This helps ensure accurate color presentation and a quality result.

Can I use the Pantone PMS 7513 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
