PMS 7502 C

A balanced, muted tan commonly used in environments requiring a stable, understated brand color.

Color summary PMS 7502 C (System / collection: Pantone PMS) is a muted beige-tan located in the Pantone Matching System color standard. The color conveys a practical, grounded, and neutral vibe, perceived as calm, professional, and adaptable. With qualitative descriptors such as earthy and soft, PMS 7502 C is operationally valued for its versatility in environments that prioritize subtle brand alignment or need a color that supports other elements rather than dominates.

Color characteristics - PMS 7502 C exhibits a mid-range lightness, with an LRV of 53.21, appearing neither very light nor very dark. - The color presents a warm tendency, resulting from its yellow-based tan undertone. - PMS 7502 C has moderate saturation, making it neither highly chromatic nor fully neutral. - The undertone is primarily yellow with a muted, slightly earthy quality. - The color’s appearance can shift subtly depending on finish and lighting, though its muted character tends to minimize pronounced reflectivity or gloss sensitivity.

Practical application PMS 7502 C works well when a stable, muted tan is required for brand consistency without drawing excessive attention to itself. It is suitable for brand-centric environments, displays, and fixtures where a soft background or cohesive accent color is needed. Teams should test PMS 7502 C in intended lighting and with the target finish, as warmth may intensify in high-gloss conditions or under certain artificial lighting. Relative to other neutral tan colors, PMS 7502 C maintains a clear yet understated character, showing less pink or gray than many alternatives.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 7502 C

How should PMS 7502 C be used when creating prototypes or concept models that require accurate brand color representation?

When using PMS 7502 C for prototypes or concept models, select a format that matches your evaluation needs, such as spray paint for large surfaces or paint pens for detail work. It is important to apply PMS 7502 C to the same substrates and with the finish intended for production, since color appearance may shift based on surface type and gloss. For best results, review samples in the actual lighting and setting where the final product will be evaluated. This approach helps ensure the color aligns visually with the brand standard in the context where it matters most.

How much coverage can I expect from a can of PMS 7502 C spray paint, and how do I estimate quantity for my project?

One can of PMS 7502 C spray paint typically covers about 20 to 25 square feet with a single coat on a smooth, primed surface. Actual coverage may vary due to surface texture, color underneath, and the number of coats required for opacity. For accurate quantity planning, calculate the total square footage to be painted and consider whether multiple thin coats will be needed for even color. Surfaces with high texture or a strong base color may need more paint to achieve consistent brand appearance.

Why does licensed and authorized reproduction matter for Pantone PMS 7502 C?

Pantone PMS 7502 C is a standardized color reference for brand and marketing applications. Licensed reproduction ensures that the color is produced to Pantone's specifications, supporting consistent brand presentation across all materials. MyPerfectColor is authorized to reproduce Pantone PMS colors, meaning you receive paint that is matched to the standard, not just a generic tan. This is critical for projects where visual brand alignment must be maintained throughout displays, fixtures, and concept models.

When is it recommended to order a sample of PMS 7502 C before full production?

Sampling PMS 7502 C is recommended before proceeding with large, high-visibility brand installations, permanent retail displays, or projects where lighting and finish could change the color's appearance. A sample helps confirm the color meets brand expectations on your specific substrate under intended lighting conditions. This is a key step to avoid costly discrepancies or delays caused by color approval issues later in the project workflow.

Can I use the Pantone PMS 7502 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

How much area will one spray can cover? And what is Pantone PMS 7502 C spray paint made of?

To make spray paint matched to Pantone PMS 7502 C. MyPerfectColor uses an acrylic enamel which is a fast-drying durable coating suitable for interior or exterior use. MyPerfectColor custom spray paint enables you to conveniently achieve a professional spray-smooth finish in any color in any sheen. It sticks well to most surfaces including metal, plastics, powder-coatings, cabinets and primed or previously painted wood.

The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.

How do I convert PMS 7502 C to a different color from another paint company?

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 7502 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information.
