Pantone® PMS 7455 C . Paint And Spray Paint. MyPerfectColor is the official licensee of Pantone and authorized to reproduce the Pantone Matching System colors in spray paint and other paints.

PMS 7455 C is part of the Pantone PMS (Pantone Matching System) collection, a standard for consistent color matching across vendors and materials. This color is visually direct, crisp, vivid, and assertive, with an energetic blue-violet character. It reads as modern, graphic, and professional, often supporting high-visibility branding where color fidelity matters.

- PMS 7455 C appears distinctly dark due to its low LRV of 11.86. - The color leans cool, with a blue-violet hue that gives it a technical and purposeful appearance. - PMS 7455 C is highly saturated, resulting in a strong chromatic presence. - The undertone is predominantly blue, with a clear violet influence that prevents it from feeling overly cold or neutral. - The appearance can shift noticeably with different lighting types; cool or mixed artificial lighting may further emphasize the blue character. - This color’s saturation makes it finish sensitive—gloss finishes can increase apparent depth and intensity, while matte or eggshell can slightly mute its force.

PMS 7455 C is suited for branded environments, displays, and prototypes where a decisive blue-violet is required and color matching to the Pantone standard is critical. It is important to preview this color under the actual lighting and finish that will be used in the final environment, as both can significantly influence its perceived intensity and hue. Compared to similar dark blue-violets, PMS 7455 C may read stronger or “purer,” avoiding the muddiness of more muted or less saturated options, while maintaining enough depth to avoid appearing pastel or electric.

Similar colors:
PMS 2728 C is lighter and more vibrant, shifting further toward a clear blue and appearing less deep.

PMS 2746 C is darker and less saturated, creating a more muted, subtle presence compared to the vivid punch of PMS 7455 C.

PMS 266 C is warmer and more violet, offering a noticeable shift away from blue toward a richer, redder purple.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 7455 C

How do I make sure I am ordering the correct color for PMS 7455 C and what is the difference between the Pantone name and code?

To ensure you get the correct color, always specify the full Pantone code and suffix, in this case ''PMS 7455 C''. The code (7455 C) is the unique identifier for this specific blue-violet in the Pantone Matching System, while the name is a standard way to refer to the color. The code determines the exact target to be reproduced, and using the full designation avoids confusion with similar colors. Double-check that your brand, project specs, or reference material all show ''PMS 7455 C'' before ordering so your results will align with Pantone standards.

What should I know about returns or changes for Pantone PMS 7455 C paint since it is custom made?

Pantone PMS 7455 C paint is made to order for each customer to match the Pantone standard. Because every batch is custom mixed, it is important to review your color selection, product type, and sheen before submitting your order. Returns and exchanges are not possible once production has started, so sampling is recommended if you have concerns about color, finish, or appearance in your environment. Always verify details before ordering to avoid issues with custom-made paint products.

Are there special application or coverage considerations for Pantone PMS 7455 C due to its high saturation?

Pantone PMS 7455 C is a vivid and highly saturated blue-violet. These saturated Pantone colors often have reduced hide compared to less intense hues, meaning more coats may be needed to achieve full coverage and an even appearance. Plan for additional product and application time, especially when painting over contrasting or white surfaces. Testing on your actual substrate and under your intended lighting is the best way to confirm coverage needs and final appearance before starting large or critical brand-visible projects.

Can I use the Pantone PMS 7455 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
