PMS 7452 C is a Pantone Matching System (PMS) color used in professional branding, marketing, and design contexts. The color sits in the blue-violet range and is recognized for its distinctly modern and vivid character. The vibe is clean, vibrant, professional, cool, and energizing, making it operationally useful for design systems looking to convey a technological or forward-facing feel. System / collection: Pantone PMS.

PMS 7452 C appears as a medium-toned blue-violet with balanced lightness (LRV 30.4). This color has a cool orientation, dominated by blue with noticeable violet influence. It displays moderate to high chroma, resulting in a strong, saturated visual effect. The undertone is distinctly blue-violet, which may shift slightly depending on lighting conditions. The color can show perceptible variation with different finish types; gloss tends to enhance vibrance, while matte may soften its chromatic punch.

PMS 7452 C is operationally effective when a clean, energetic, and forward-thinking blue tone is required in branding, displays, or prototyping. Users should test the color in project lighting and finish to confirm appearance, as blue-violet hues are prone to shifts under different light sources and sheens. Proper surface preparation enhances uniformity, especially for brighter or more saturated colors, which may require additional coats for even coverage. Compared to similar PMS blues, PMS 7452 C reflects a colder and more modern tone without significant grayness.

Similar colors:
PMS 7451 C – Slightly lighter and more blue, producing a subtler effect in brand applications.

PMS 7453 C – Slightly darker and leans marginally more toward violet, with a richer perceived depth.

PMS 2727 C – Warmer and more overtly blue, with less violet influence and a more primary character.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 7452 C

What should I consider when using Pantone PMS 7452 C in a pop-up or retail environment?

When specifying PMS 7452 C for pop-up and retail environments, assess lighting conditions, finish options, and substrate material early in the process. Lighting can shift the blue-violet appearance, and gloss or matte finishes will affect saturation and chroma. For high-traffic or temporary displays, prioritize durable paint types and consider surface prep for long-lasting, consistent results. Run a sample in the actual lighting and finish before large-scale installation to confirm the color meets expectations. Always review the substrate for proper adhesion and uniformity.

Do I need a primer when painting with Pantone PMS 7452 C?

The need for a primer when using PMS 7452 C depends on your substrate, paint type, and desired durability. Primer is especially recommended on bare, porous, or challenging surfaces to ensure good adhesion and even coverage. Bright, saturated colors like PMS 7452 C may also benefit from a primer to enhance uniformity and reduce the number of coats required. Check the product instructions and substrate compatibility, and reference any brand guidance for best results.

Can Pantone PMS 7452 C be matched exactly in other paint brands' color systems?

No, Pantone PMS 7452 C does not reliably convert to other paint company color collections. Each brand has its own palette and formulation, and vivid Pantone hues like PMS 7452 C are rarely identical in other systems. Always use Pantone-matched paints when accuracy to the PMS standard is needed for brand or display projects.

When is it advised to sample Pantone PMS 7452 C before a full project rollout?

Sampling PMS 7452 C is recommended before full-scale production when working on large brand installations, retail displays, or high-visibility projects. Sampling helps evaluate the color under your project's specific lighting and finish, and can uncover shifts that impact brand consistency. For multi-material installs or where exact appearance matters, sampling ensures approval before broad application.

How quickly will I receive my paint matched to Pantone PMS 7452 C?

Interior and exterior house paints usually ship within 1 to 3 business days, while custom spray paint typically takes 3-5 business days to ship. Can I use the Pantone PMS 7452 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
