PMS 9226 C is a Pantone Matching System color commonly specified in brand standards and visual identity programs. It presents as a soft, pale yellow-green with a clean, understated presence that reads calm, light, and controlled rather than decorative.
Color characteristicsThe color appears very light, with an LRV of 78.48, and leans slightly warm with a yellow-forward green tendency. Its low saturation keeps the appearance muted, while a soft green undertone becomes more noticeable in neutral or cool lighting.
Practical applicationPMS 9226 C works well in brand environments where a light, distinctive tint is needed without strong color dominance, such as large display surfaces or architectural brand elements. Because of its lightness and low chroma, underlying surface contrast or repairs can show through, so consistent surface preparation and a light primer can help achieve uniform results.
Similar colors:
Pantone 607 C: slightly warmer and creamier, with less green influence.
Pantone 610 C: darker and more yellow-green, with more visible color presence.
Pantone 622 C: cooler and grayer, with a more neutral green cast.

When using PMS 9226 C paint for prototypes or concept models, choosing a format such as spray paint or paint pen allows you to replicate brand color standards in early-stage samples. This helps teams and clients visualize color alignment before committing to final production methods. Review your substrate and application process in advance, and plan for approval steps by checking color appearance under target lighting. Using PMS 9226 C as a brand color target is appropriate when the primary goal is visual consistency in concept or mockup scenarios.
Ordering PMS 9226 C as a standard Pantone PMS match is appropriate when you need to achieve brand-consistent appearance in marketing, display, signage, or prototyping applications. This option works best when the Pantone reference is your official color target and perfect substrate-to-substrate matching is not required. For very large installations or permanent environments, you may want to test and confirm the color on your actual material under real lighting before full production.
Surface texture can significantly influence how PMS 9226 C appears. On smooth surfaces, the color tends to look brighter and more vibrant, while textured or matte finishes may make PMS 9226 C seem slightly darker or less saturated due to changes in reflectivity and shadowing. Review a sample on your intended substrate to ensure the finished look aligns with your brand expectations.
When selecting a sheen for PMS 9226 C, consider how gloss or matte levels influence color intensity and viewing experience. Higher sheen finishes like gloss or semi-gloss can make PMS 9226 C appear brighter and more vivid, especially at a distance or under strong lighting. Matte and low-sheen options can reduce glare for close-up display or detailed models. Align your choice with substrate, viewing distance, and the intended brand impact, rather than for decorative effect.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
