Pantone™ PMS 668 C

PMS 668 C is formulated to target the standard shown in a Pantone book, but several factors can cause visible differences. The Pantone book serves as a print reference on specific paper and lighting. When paint is applied to a material, the finish (such as gloss or matte) and the surface type can change how PMS 668 C appears. For brand-critical projects, always test a sample of PMS 668 C on the actual substrate in the intended finish and environment to confirm acceptance before full production.

For PMS 668 C, select an interior paint if your branding or display project will remain indoors, as these products are made for controlled environments and are easier to apply. For outdoor projects or displays exposed to weather or sunlight, choose an exterior paint format to maximize color stability and durability. Always specify the intended use when ordering PMS 668 C to get the most suitable product.

PMS 668 C is defined by Pantone standards and does not have a direct, reliable equivalent in other paint brand collections. Other brands develop their own palettes, and highly saturated colors like PMS 668 C are especially difficult to match using non-Pantone formulas. For projects requiring brand accuracy, do not substitute another brand's color code for PMS 668 C. Always specify PMS 668 C directly when color consistency is important.

PMS 668 C can be ordered as custom spray paint, paint pens, brush-in-cap bottles, and other coatings suitable for brand and display applications. Choose spray paint for efficient coverage on exhibits or signs, paint pens for detailed touch on prototypes or small elements, and brush-in-cap bottles for sampling or small area production work. Select the format that fits your application method and project scale for best results.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.

We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
