PMS 652 C is part of the Pantone PMS color system, which is widely used for brand and marketing applications demanding precise color consistency across materials. This blue exhibits a composed, professional, understated, and versatile vibe, with a restrained chroma and moderate depth that make it adaptable to both background and accent roles in visual systems.
PMS 652 C appears as a medium-dark blue and has a moderate light reflectance value (LRV 25.96), indicating noticeable presence without being overpowering. The color presents a cool temperature based on its hue angle. PMS 652 C demonstrates restrained saturation, resulting in a less vivid and more muted overall appearance. The color carries a subtle grey undertone, contributing to its subdued and professional character. PMS 652 C may show shifts in perceived vibrancy and depth depending on gloss level and lighting conditions, making finish selection relevant for specification.
PMS 652 C is specified when a brand-safe, legible blue is required, typically for environments prioritizing clarity and professionalism. It functions well in branded display systems, signage, and painted components, particularly where a more muted blue holds visual harmony with other corporate colors. In use, PMS 652 C provides defined color identity without high visual aggressiveness. Colors in this range are sensitive to gloss and lighting: matte finishes further soften the appearance, while gloss adds perceived vibrancy. Surface preparation should target uniformity to avoid visual banding or uneven color depth.

When using PMS 652 C in a pop-up or retail setting, evaluate surface preparation, durability, and actual lighting conditions. Sampling the color on-site is important because PMS 652 C can appear different depending on gloss, lighting, and the substrate. For large or high-visibility installations, always review a physical sample under the intended lighting before full application. If durability is critical, choose a paint format with appropriate resistance for anticipated wear and cleaning practices. Consistency and finish are key to maintaining a professional, brand-aligned appearance.
Whether a primer is necessary for PMS 652 C depends on the surface, paint format, and environment. Priming is strongly recommended when painting on bare materials such as wood, metal, plastic, or over dark or uneven colors, since this promotes better adhesion and hide. If you are painting over a dissimilar or porous substrate, or aiming for maximum color consistency, a primer will help PMS 652 C achieve its intended appearance. Refer to the product-specific primer guidance for your chosen paint type or contact support with details about your project for tailored recommendations.
Ordering PMS 652 C paint means you are selecting a custom color match that targets the visual standard for PMS 652 C set by Pantone. This is a reproduction of the color in paint form for use in signage, displays, or brand environments, not official Pantone brand paint or a proprietary formula. The match is designed to visually align with the Pantone reference under standard viewing conditions, but results may vary based on substrate, finish, and lighting. Finish and sheen must be specified separately, as PMS codes do not define those aspects.
Paint matched to PMS 652 C is made to order. Typical production lead times depend on the specific paint type and current production volume, but most custom colors ship within a few business days. For large projects or tight schedules, ordering early and confirming availability of your chosen format is recommended. Production and shipping times may also be affected by special requirements or high volume periods, so plan accordingly for brand-critical installations.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 652 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
