Pantone™ PMS 626 C

The perceived color of Pantone PMS 626 C can shift depending on the finish or sheen selected. A matte version of PMS 626 C will look less reflective and may appear deeper and more muted, while a gloss version can seem brighter and slightly more saturated. When reviewing samples or components, always compare finishes directly, since a gloss sample can appear almost like a different color than a matte one, even if the formula is the same. For consistent results, select the finish specified by your brand standards or confirm with samples in your intended application environment.

Pantone PMS 626 C paint is formulated for branded color reproduction and marketing applications, not for touch-up or repair. If you need a precise match for an existing part or substrate, especially for touch-up purposes, you should send a physical sample for a custom match. This ensures the new paint accounts for material, finish, and aging differences that a Pantone code alone cannot address. Ordering by Pantone code is best for creating new brand-aligned components where visual consistency is the main goal.

Pantone codes such as PMS 626 C may include suffixes like 'C', 'U', or 'CVU' which refer to specific reference standards or materials. The intended code can affect how the color is matched, making it crucial to confirm the exact specification from your brand or project documentation before ordering. Always double-check your standards to ensure you are requesting the correct Pantone PMS reference for your application, as using the wrong suffix or series could lead to a visible color mismatch.

For Pantone PMS 626 C, which is a deep and moderately saturated green, coverage may require more than one coat for uniformity, especially over contrasting colors or unprimed surfaces. Using a suitable undercoat, such as a gray or color-tinted primer, can improve hide and help achieve the intended look in fewer coats. Testing on a sample panel is recommended to confirm coverage and color depth before large-scale application.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
