PMS 618 C, from the Pantone PMS System/collection, is recognized for its subtly subdued, olive green character. The vibe is organic, approachable, technical, and quietly professional—well suited for roles requiring a grounded or natural tone without visual dominance.

PMS 618 C presents a medium-light appearance, with a listed LRV of 39.34. The color reads as cool-neutral within the yellow-green spectrum, with minimal warmth. This color features restrained saturation and moderate chroma, resulting in a muted, sophisticated impression rather than a vivid or vibrant olive. PMS 618 C shows a soft yellow-green undertone, but overt yellowing is held in check by its muted formulation. The appearance of PMS 618 C can shift subtly based on lighting and finish, with glossier sheens potentially increasing perceived divergence from standard Pantone swatches.

PMS 618 C works well when a natural, understated green is required in branding, signage, or display components—especially where an organic or sustainable theme is referenced. Evaluate on the intended substrate and lighting, as the color may appear more yellow or muted depending on ambient conditions. Due to its moderate lightness and subtle chroma, PMS 618 C is less likely to overpower adjacent colors, but can appear drab or muddy in dim or yellow-toned lighting compared to brighter or more saturated greens.

Similar colors:
PMS 617 C: Similar but lighter and less muted, appearing warmer overall.

PMS 619 C: Lighter and less chromatic, yielding a softer and creamier appearance.

PMS 5753 C: Darker and more neutral, with a more olive-brown sensibility.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 618 C

How should I evaluate Pantone PMS 618 C paint for use in pop-ups or retail environments?

When using Pantone PMS 618 C in retail or pop-up environments, always sample the color on the intended substrate and under the actual lighting conditions of your installation. The appearance of PMS 618 C may shift depending on light temperature, finish, and substrate. Evaluate durability needs based on expected traffic and select a product type and sheen that suits the application. Testing a small area before proceeding with large-scale use helps ensure the result meets brand and visual expectations.

What should I know before ordering Pantone PMS 618 C paint regarding custom-made policy?

Pantone PMS 618 C paint is custom made to order for each project. This means it is important to select the right product type, sheen, and quantity the first time, as custom-made items are typically non-returnable and changes after production may not be possible. If exact appearance is critical, order a sample before placing a full production order to ensure that PMS 618 C meets your requirements on your chosen substrate and in project lighting.

Can I find an exact cross-reference for Pantone PMS 618 C in other paint brands?

There is no reliable or official cross-reference for Pantone PMS 618 C in other paint brands. Most paint manufacturers develop their own color palettes, and Pantone colors are standardized for brand and design use, not for direct conversion to commercial paint collections. For accurate results, specify PMS 618 C by name and code and use a dedicated Pantone match rather than searching for an equivalent in another brand.

What are my options if I need Pantone PMS 618 C paint quickly for a deadline?

If you require Pantone PMS 618 C paint on a tight schedule, expedited production can often be selected during checkout. For critical deadlines, contact MyPerfectColor before ordering to confirm if your timeline can be met. Factoring in both production and shipping times helps ensure that PMS 618 C arrives when needed for your brand installation or event.

How quickly will I receive my paint matched to Pantone PMS 618 C?

Interior and exterior house paints usually ship within 1 to 3 business days, while custom spray paint typically takes 3-5 business days to ship. The transit time depends on your location and the shipping method you choose. If your need is immediate, select Expedited Production during checkout. Most expedited production orders ship within 24 hours on business days. Please contact MyPerfectColor if you are concerned about a specific deadline. We do our best to make sure you get your paint on time. Learn more about paint lead times at MyPerfectColor.
Can I use the Pantone PMS 618 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

How do I convert PMS 618 C to a different color from another paint company?

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 618 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information.
