PMS 5575 C is part of the Pantone PMS (Pantone Matching System) collection, which is used to ensure accurate color communication in branding, display fabrication, and industrial design. This color presents a muted, technical, subdued, and restrained character with a cool, clean vibe.

PMS 5575 C appears as a mid-light value green with an LRV of 48.28. The color tends toward a cool hue, positioned in the green family with a subtle blue influence. This color exhibits low to moderate chroma, resulting in a muted and less saturated appearance. PMS 5575 C displays a slight gray undertone, reducing vibrancy and contributing to a subdued look. The color is relatively insensitive to finish, remaining stable in perceived color across typical flat, satin, or semi-gloss applications.

PMS 5575 C performs well in branding or display scenarios requiring a reserved and cool-toned green that does not overpower primary visual elements. When using this color, be attentive to lighting conditions, as cool greens may appear grayer or more subdued under warm light sources. Prepare surfaces to a uniform texture for even appearance and test on actual substrates if used alongside other branding colors to ensure the intended muted effect is achieved. Compared to brighter or more saturated greens, PMS 5575 C recedes slightly in visual hierarchy and offers a more understated, professional tone.

Similar colors:
PMS 5523 C: Lighter and less saturated, presenting as a paler, softer green with more gray.

PMS 557 C: Slightly lighter and warmer, showing faintly more yellow influence.

PMS 5555 C: Darker and more chromatic, with deeper saturation and less gray.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 5575 C

Why is Pantone PMS 5575 C not recommended for touch-up specifications on existing finished surfaces?

Pantone PMS 5575 C is intended as a standardized color target for branding, display, and new applications, not as a touch-up or repair reference for existing finishes. Pantone codes like PMS 5575 C specify only the target color in a standardized context. They do not define the original coating type, product line, application process, substrate, or finish level (sheen). Without this information, using PMS 5575 C for touch-up work can lead to visible mismatches in gloss or color. For existing product or architectural surfaces, reference the original manufacturer or product specification fortouch-up and do not rely on Pantone standards alone.

How much coverage can I expect from a spray can of PMS 5575 C paint, and how do I estimate how many cans I need?

Each spray can of PMS 5575 C typically covers about 20 to 25 square feet with one light coat. The exact coverage depends on substrate texture, material porosity, and application technique. Dark colors or highly saturated shades, as well as rough or absorbent surfaces, may require additional coats for full opacity. For best results, estimate total project square footage and plan for multiple coats if uniform, brand-accurate color is critical. Divide your total area by the coverage per can and round up to account for some overspray and extra coats where needed.

Why might PMS 5575 C look different on various display or fabrication materials?

PMS 5575 C can appear different depending on the material used, even when accurately matched. Factors such as substrate color, absorption, surface gloss, and texture influence how the finished color is perceived. For brand-critical applications or multi-material builds, always evaluate the PMS 5575 C color match on the final materials and finishes planned for your project to confirm visual consistency. Testing on actual components is the most reliable way to manage appearance risks across substrates.

What product formats are available for ordering PMS 5575 C paint for brand and display work?

PMS 5575 C is available as custom spray paint and other paint formats suitable for branding, display fabrication, and prototyping. Common choices include spray paint, paint pens, brush-in-cap bottles, and other coatings for projects where visual alignment with the Pantone standard is needed. Select the format based on your application method, project size, and substrate for best results. If you need to use PMS 5575 C across multiple surfaces, consider ordering a small amount for test application first to confirm suitability.

How quickly will I receive my paint matched to Pantone PMS 5575 C?
All paint is custom-made to order. While most orders ship within 48 hours, the lead-time for paint made to match Pantone PMS 5575 C depends on the type of paint needed. Interior and exterior house paints usually ship within 1 to 3 business days, while custom spray paint typically takes 3-5 business days to ship. Can I use the Pantone PMS 5575 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

How much area will one spray can cover? And what is Pantone PMS 5575 C spray paint made of?

To make spray paint matched to Pantone PMS 5575 C. MyPerfectColor uses an acrylic enamel which is a fast-drying durable coating suitable for interior or exterior use. MyPerfectColor custom spray paint enables you to conveniently achieve a professional spray-smooth finish in any color in any sheen. See our Primer Selection Table to see what primer you might need and learn more about when you might need a primer. Most people don't use a primer for a touch up paint application, but a primer may improve adhesion and is typically recommended for exterior applications.
How do I convert PMS 5575 C to a different color from another paint company?

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 5575 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
