Pantone™ PMS 5575 C

Pantone PMS 5575 C is intended as a standardized color target for branding, display, and new applications, not as a touch-up or repair reference for existing finishes. Pantone codes like PMS 5575 C specify only the target color in a standardized context. They do not define the original coating type, product line, application process, substrate, or finish level (sheen). Without this information, using PMS 5575 C for touch-up work can lead to visible mismatches in gloss or color. For existing product or architectural surfaces, reference the original manufacturer or product specification fortouch-up and do not rely on Pantone standards alone.

Each spray can of PMS 5575 C typically covers about 20 to 25 square feet with one light coat. The exact coverage depends on substrate texture, material porosity, and application technique. Dark colors or highly saturated shades, as well as rough or absorbent surfaces, may require additional coats for full opacity. For best results, estimate total project square footage and plan for multiple coats if uniform, brand-accurate color is critical. Divide your total area by the coverage per can and round up to account for some overspray and extra coats where needed.

PMS 5575 C can appear different depending on the material used, even when accurately matched. Factors such as substrate color, absorption, surface gloss, and texture influence how the finished color is perceived. For brand-critical applications or multi-material builds, always evaluate the PMS 5575 C color match on the final materials and finishes planned for your project to confirm visual consistency. Testing on actual components is the most reliable way to manage appearance risks across substrates.

PMS 5575 C is available as custom spray paint and other paint formats suitable for branding, display fabrication, and prototyping. Common choices include spray paint, paint pens, brush-in-cap bottles, and other coatings for projects where visual alignment with the Pantone standard is needed. Select the format based on your application method, project size, and substrate for best results. If you need to use PMS 5575 C across multiple surfaces, consider ordering a small amount for test application first to confirm suitability.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
