Pantone™ PMS 5115 C

Pantone PMS 5115 C is designed as a unique reference in the Pantone Matching System and is not directly interchangeable with any specific color in other paint brands. Each paint company develops its own separate palette and color formulations, and vivid, brand-oriented Pantone hues like PMS 5115 C rarely have a close match. Cross-referencing is not reliable for professional applications where brand consistency or exact visual alignment is required. If PMS 5115 C is your specified color, ordering a Pantone match yields the most accurate and consistent result.

To achieve the best result with PMS 5115 C matched paint, start by making sure the surface is clean, dry, and free from dust, oil, or grease. Lightly scuff glossy or smooth surfaces to promote adhesion. Remove any loose or flaking material and repair surface defects. Before proceeding with the full application, it is good practice to test a small area first and confirm satisfactory adhesion and appearance under your chosen lighting and finish.

PMS 5115 C is often specified for prototypes and concept models when visual brand alignment is important for marketing, display, or design review purposes. Selecting a paint format that fits your workflow, such as spray paint for larger models or paint pens for detail work, helps achieve accurate brand color representation. For best results, evaluate your prototype under the same lighting and finish intended for the final installation to confirm that PMS 5115 C delivers the expected visual alignment.

PMS 5115 C is a deep, muted color with low light reflectance, which can make uniform coverage more challenging. For best hide and visual consistency, consider using a primer or undercoat that is suited to your substrate. A gray or neutral base often helps reduce the number of finishing coats needed, especially for saturated or dark Pantone colors. Testing a small area with your chosen approach allows you to plan for sufficient coverage and uniform color before completing the job.

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.
