PMS 507 C is a Pantone Matching System (PMS) color from the Pantone PMS collection. It is generally described as a soft, dusted pink with a restrained, understated, and approachable appearance. This color is perceived as clean, muted, gentle, and modern, aligning well with branding environments where subtle warmth is desired without overt vibrancy.

PMS 507 C appears light in value (LRV 35.32). The color shows a warm tendency due to its red-based hue. PMS 507 C presents medium-low chroma, resulting in a muted, desaturated look. It exhibits a gentle pink undertone, free of yellow or orange influence. This color may show visible shifts in warmth and depth depending on finish and lighting environment.

PMS 507 C works well in projects seeking a subtle, non-intrusive color presence that communicates softness or approachability. Evaluate coverage carefully, as muted pinks may require a uniform, neutrally primed substrate to prevent color variation. As with many low-saturation colors, the apparent warmth and reflectivity can shift with changes in surrounding surfaces and lighting intensity, so always review samples under the intended conditions. PMS 507 C tends to maintain its clarity better than more vibrant pinks in variable light.

Similar colors:
PMS 699 C: Lighter and less saturated, leading to a paler, more delicate appearance.

PMS 503 C: Slightly darker and warmer, with a more pronounced pink undertone.

PMS 203 C: More chromatic and saturated, giving a stronger, more vibrant pink effect.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 507 C

How is Pantone PMS 507 C used for prototyping and concept models where accurate brand color matters?

Pantone PMS 507 C is often specified for prototypes and concept models to achieve visual alignment with brand standards before full-scale production. For these applications, order PMS 507 C in the same format and finish type you expect to use for final display, such as spray paint or paint pens. Always apply the color sample to the actual material or a close stand-in and allow full drying or curing. Review PMS 507 C samples under the lighting and ambient conditions expected in the final setting, as its subtle rose tone can look different under various lights. This process helps confirm visual consistency and reduces risk in later production stages.

Should I order Pantone PMS 507 C in matte or gloss for my brand display?

The choice between matte and gloss for Pantone PMS 507 C affects both color perception and visual impact. Matte finishes reduce glare and create a softer, more muted look which can help PMS 507 C maintain its subtle, understated appearance in close-range environments or where diffuse lighting is used. Gloss finishes offer higher reflectivity, making the color appear more saturated and slightly deeper, especially under strong lighting, but can introduce glare that influences how the color is seen from different angles. When viewing distance is short or lighting is diffuse, matte is often preferred for clarity and softness. For displays meant to stand out in strong light or for more vivid punch, gloss may be considered. Always review samples in context before finalizing your order.

What is the best method for comparing Pantone PMS 507 C color samples for approval?

For reliable comparison of Pantone PMS 507 C, always evaluate samples on the same substrate and in the finish type intended for the project. Make sure all samples are fully dry or cured before reviewing, as color and sheen can shift while drying. Use consistent lighting when judging PMS 507 C, ideally under the same conditions as the final installation, since this muted pink tone can shift subtly based on ambient light and surroundings. Avoid judging color on unprimed or variable surfaces to minimize unwanted color variation. Review multiple angles to account for any effect of finish on appearance.

What are typical lead times to receive Pantone PMS 507 C custom paint?

Paint matched to Pantone PMS 507 C is made to order. Typical production lead times depend on the specific product format, order size, and current production volume. Standard formats like spray paint and paint pens are usually produced within several business days, but larger or specialty orders may take longer. Shipping time is additional. If you have a strict project schedule, order PMS 507 C early and allow extra time for sample review or approval if required.

How quickly will I receive my paint matched to Pantone PMS 507 C?
All paint is custom-made to order. While most orders ship within 48 hours, the lead-time for paint made to match Pantone PMS 507 C depends on the type of paint needed. Interior and exterior house paints usually ship within 1 to 3 business days, while custom spray paint typically takes 3-5 business days to ship. The transit time depends on your location and the shipping method you choose. If your need is immediate, select Expedited Production during checkout. Most expedited production orders ship within 24 hours on business days. Please contact MyPerfectColor if you are concerned about a specific deadline. Can I use the Pantone PMS 507 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
