PMS 372 C is part of the Pantone Matching System (Pantone PMS) collection. This color is light, soft, and distinctly clean, presenting a calm, modern, and mildly playful character. With a notably high light reflectance value, PMS 372 C is visually airy and fresh, lending itself to situations where a subtle yet intentionally energetic green presence is required.

PMS 372 C appears very light, with an LRV of 76.3. The color has a cool tendency, with a green-yellow undertone. PMS 372 C is mildly saturated, resulting in a soft, diluted appearance rather than vivid intensity. Undertones lean clearly toward yellow-green, promoting an energetic but understated effect. The color is sensitive to finish selection, appearing brighter and slightly more reflective in glossier sheens.

PMS 372 C works well in environments or branding contexts where fresh, contemporary, and accessible visuals are needed, such as environmental graphics or temporary activations. It should be evaluated under the intended lighting, as both daylight and artificial conditions can influence its perceived warmth and intensity. Due to its high lightness and lower coverage compared to deeper or more saturated hues, surface preparation and priming may be necessary for uniform results, especially over dark substrates. Compared to similarly light greens, PMS 372 C is slightly cooler and less saturated, which can help minimize unwanted yellow or lime qualities in certain lighting situations.

Similar colors:
PMS 373 C has a similar hue but appears slightly more saturated and slightly darker.

PMS 371 C is markedly darker and much warmer, with more pronounced brown undertones.

PMS 358 C is a bit deeper and richer, providing more chromatic intensity and warmth than PMS 372 C.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 372 C

What is the correct way to order PMS 372 C paint to ensure I get the exact Pantone color needed?

To order PMS 372 C accurately, provide the exact Pantone code 'PMS 372 C' including the full code and any suffix (such as 'C' for coated). Pantone codes are standardized identifiers that communicate a specific color target, and omitting or altering the code may result in receiving a different color. Always confirm with your brand or project requirements to match the intended Pantone specification, and use the exact code when placing your order.

How much area will a spray can of PMS 372 C cover and how do I estimate how many cans are needed?

A typical spray can of PMS 372 C covers about 20 to 25 square feet per coat on smooth, primed surfaces. Because PMS 372 C is a light, soft yellow-green with high lightness, additional coats or priming may be required for uniform coverage, especially over dark or colored substrates. To estimate your quantity, calculate your total project area, consider the number of coats needed for opacity, and factor in surface texture. Ordering extra helps ensure consistent results and avoids shortages during application.

What safety considerations should I keep in mind when using paint products matched to PMS 372 C?

Safety and VOC details for PMS 372 C depend on the specific paint product you choose, such as spray paint or urethane. Always read and follow the instructions and safety data sheet (SDS) for the product before use. Use appropriate ventilation, wear protective equipment as directed, and store materials safely. If safety or compliance is a concern for your project, review the product documentation or contact the manufacturer for specific information about VOC content and safe handling practices.

What should I consider if I need PMS 372 C on metal or powder-coated parts?

For metal or powder-coated surfaces, proper surface preparation is important when applying PMS 372 C. Clean and scuff the existing finish as needed to promote adhesion, and ensure the surface is free of oils and debris. Note that the gloss, color, or texture of the existing coating can affect the final appearance of PMS 372 C. Because this color is very light, priming may be needed for best coverage and uniformity. Whenever possible, test a sample first to confirm the result meets your expectations under project lighting conditions.

How quickly will I receive my paint matched to Pantone PMS 372 C?
All paint is custom-made to order. While most orders ship within 48 hours, the lead-time for paint made to match Pantone PMS 372 C depends on the type of paint needed. Interior and exterior house paints usually ship within 1 to 3 business days, while custom spray paint typically takes 3-5 business days to ship. The transit time depends on your location and the shipping method you choose. If your need is immediate, select Expedited Production during checkout. Most expedited production orders ship within 24 hours on business days. Please contact MyPerfectColor if you are concerned about a specific deadline. We do our best to make sure you get your paint on time. Learn more about paint lead times at MyPerfectColor.
Can I use the Pantone PMS 372 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

How much area will one spray can cover? And what is Pantone PMS 372 C spray paint made of?

To make spray paint matched to Pantone PMS 372 C. MyPerfectColor uses an acrylic enamel which is a fast-drying durable coating suitable for interior or exterior use. MyPerfectColor custom spray paint enables you to conveniently achieve a professional spray-smooth finish in any color in any sheen. It sticks well to most surfaces including metal, plastics, powder-coatings, cabinets and primed or previously painted wood.

The need for primer for Pantone PMS 372 C depends on the type of paint, the substrate being painted and where it will be located. See our Primer Selection Table to see what primer you might need and learn more about when you might need a primer. Most people don't use a primer for a touch up paint application, but a primer may improve adhesion and is typically recommended for exterior applications.
How do I convert PMS 372 C to a different color from another paint company?

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 372 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
