PMS 324 C from the Pantone PMS collection is a light, cool-toned aqua with a noticeably clean, modern, and approachable vibe. This color is referenced in design for conveying an atmosphere that is calm, engaging, and distinctly contemporary, making it a practical option for settings where a refreshing yet unobtrusive color is desired.

PMS 324 C appears light in value, with a LRV of 60.3 indicating significant reflectance. The color has a cool visual tendency, presenting a mild blue-green hue. PMS 324 C displays moderate saturation; it is chromatic but not vivid, maintaining visibility without overpowering. The undertone is soft blue-green, lacking significant yellow or gray influence. The color’s perceived chroma and lightness can shift with changes in finish; gloss may increase vibrancy, while matte could soften the effect.

PMS 324 C performs well when a brand or display project requires a color that is noticeable without being overly intense. It is functional in environments needing a fresh, contemporary look—especially for graphics, displays, or branded installations. Users should assess this color under intended lighting and with the chosen finish; gloss or high-sheen applications may enhance color clarity, while matte finishes may mute the chroma. Compared to similar colors, PMS 324 C maintains stronger lightness and a slightly cooler feel, which can differentiate it from medium or greener aquas.

This Pantone PMS color is defined by the Pantone Matching System standard. Evaluate the color using a physical Pantone reference and a real paint sample in the intended lighting and finish. Paint appearance varies by finish and lighting.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 324 C

How durable is Pantone PMS 324 C spray paint for branded display use?

The durability of Pantone PMS 324 C spray paint for branded displays varies by how well the surface is prepared, the type of paint selected, whether a topcoat is applied, and the environment the item is used in. For the best result, make sure the substrate is properly cleaned and primed, select a paint type that matches your exposure needs (for example, choose exterior formulations for outdoor use), and consider adding a clear topcoat for extra protection. Always evaluate the finish and durability in the intended display environment before committing to production.

What should I know before painting metal or powder-coated parts to match Pantone PMS 324 C?

Before painting metal or powder-coated parts with Pantone PMS 324 C, thoroughly clean and scuff the surface to promote adhesion. The gloss or texture of existing coatings can affect how the PMS 324 C color appears when applied, and variations in substrate or prep may influence the final look. It is best to create and evaluate a sample part under actual lighting and with your planned finish to confirm the color meets your expectations before proceeding with a full project.

How is Pantone PMS 324 C used in prototypes or concept models for brand alignment?

Pantone PMS 324 C is often specified in prototyping and concept modeling to ensure brand colors are visually consistent before production. Choose a paint format that matches your prototype needs, such as spray paint or brush-in-cap bottles for different materials. Always compare your painted sample to a physical Pantone reference in the lighting and finish you expect to use. This helps confirm that PMS 324 C meets visual brand standards during the development process.

Can I use Pantone PMS 324 C for touch-up or color repair?

Pantone PMS 324 C is defined as a brand color standard, not a touch-up or repair specification. If your project requires a touch-up-grade match for an existing painted part, especially to address wear or damage, Pantone PMS 324 C may not provide an exact match because coatings, materials, and finishes can vary widely. For best results, send a physical sample of your part for a custom match rather than relying on the Pantone color code alone.

How quickly will I receive my paint matched to Pantone PMS 324 C?
All paint is custom-made to order. While most orders ship within 48 hours, the lead-time for paint made to match Pantone PMS 324 C depends on the type of paint needed. Interior and exterior house paints usually ship within 1 to 3 business days, while custom spray paint typically takes 3-5 business days to ship. The transit time depends on your location and the shipping method you choose. If your need is immediate, select Expedited Production during checkout. Most expedited production orders ship within 24 hours on business days. Please contact MyPerfectColor if you are concerned about a specific deadline. We do our best to make sure you get your paint on time. Learn more about paint lead times at MyPerfectColor.
Can I use the Pantone PMS 324 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

How do I convert PMS 324 C to a different color from another paint company?

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 324 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
