PMS 310 C is a Pantone Matching System (PMS) color, widely specified for branding, marketing, and display fabrication. Visually, PMS 310 C exhibits a vibrant, clean, and technical vibe. It is considered light on the value scale, has notably cool blue-green undertones, and delivers a crisp, attention-grabbing look in practical brand environments.
- PMS 310 C presents as a light color, with an LRV of 53.21 indicating moderate to high reflectance. - The color maintains a cool temperature, with a pronounced cyan or blue-green cast. - PMS 310 C has relatively high saturation, giving it a fresh, clear appearance without visible dullness. - The undertone is dominated by cool blue, moderated by a slight green influence—perceptibly clean rather than muted. - This color can show some sensitivity to finish; glossy or semi-gloss finishes can intensify its brightness and apparent saturation, while matte finishes may subdue vibrancy.
PMS 310 C performs well in scenarios where a vivid, brand-consistent light cyan is required for maximum visibility, modernity, and energy. Lighting conditions play a significant role in its perceived color: cool or balanced lighting sources will maintain the intended clean cyan, while warm lighting can shift it slightly greener or duller. When matching PMS 310 C across multiple substrates or finishes, it's essential to sample both paint and branded reference materials under final lighting conditions. Due to its high chroma and lightness, PMS 310 C can require additional coats for uniform, even hide, especially over contrasting or dark surfaces; applying a white primer is generally recommended.
This Pantone PMS color is defined by the Pantone Matching System standard. Evaluate the color using a physical Pantone reference and a real paint sample in the intended lighting and finish. Paint appearance varies by finish and lighting.

When ordering paints or finishes for PMS 310 C, always use the exact Pantone code, including the suffix such as 'C' for 'coated.' Different Pantone codes or missing suffixes will specify a different target color standard. Refer to your brand standards to verify the full Pantone PMS code and any required attributes before placing your order. This ensures you receive paint matched to the intended PMS 310 C reference.
To get help choosing the right paint for PMS 310 C, let MyPerfectColor know the surface material, whether the painted area will be indoors or outdoors, your target finish (such as gloss, semi-gloss, or matte), and any specific brand or performance requirements. Providing this detail allows the team to recommend the optimal format and formula for your particular brand application.
Matching PMS 310 C can be challenging because highly saturated, light cyan tones may appear different across substrates or under various lighting. Expect that the finish (gloss, matte) and lighting can notably affect how the color looks. Extra coats and a white primer may be needed for uniform coverage, especially over dark surfaces. MyPerfectColor is experienced in targeting brand-consistent Pantone matches, but it is important to verify the result with a sample before full production for critical applications.
It is strongly recommended to sample PMS 310 C before full production if your project is high-visibility, requires formal brand approval, involves large or permanent installations, uses multiple materials, or must match reference colors under specific lighting. Sampling allows you to confirm color appearance and finish, lowering risk of misalignment and costly rework.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
