Pantone™ PMS 2735 C

Pantone PMS 2735 C is not recommended as a touch-up specification for existing products or coatings. The Pantone PMS system provides a standard color target but does not specify the sheen, substrate, or original coating process. Without this detail, there can be visible differences between new and existing surfaces even if the same color is used. For touch-up or spot applications, it is best to reference a sample taken from the original material rather than relying on the Pantone code alone.

To achieve consistent color and coverage with PMS 2735 C over large surfaces, use the same application method and equipment throughout the project. Plan your coat sequence and allow each coat to dry fully before applying the next. For vivid and dark colors like PMS 2735 C, ensure complete coverage by using high-quality primers if needed and apply extra coats where lighter substrates show through. Always inspect in the intended lighting before final approval to confirm uniformity.

Pantone PMS 2735 C is available in custom spray paint, paint pens, brush-in-cap bottles, and additional paint options as offered. Choose spray paint for smooth, even coverage on displays or signage, paint pens for marking or detail work, and brush-in-cap bottles for smaller components or sample evaluation. Select the format based on your project''s application method and the surface area to be covered.

When using PMS 2735 C in pop-ups or retail settings, assess the lighting conditions and durability requirements of the space before committing to large-scale application. Sample the color and finish on the target substrate to confirm appearance under installed lighting. For brand installations, select finishes that balance durability with the desired visual impact, and ensure the coated surfaces will withstand expected foot traffic and handling for the event duration.

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.

We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
