Pantone® PMS 1625 C is a balanced orange with a noticeable warm undertone and moderate lightness, frequently described as welcoming, fresh, soft, clear, and visibly vibrant. This color occupies a practical role in branding and design applications, especially where a friendly but distinct orange is needed.
PMS 1625 C appears moderately light, supported by an LRV of 49.89. The color is distinctly warm in temperature, drawing from an orange core and subtle peach undertone. PMS 1625 C displays medium chroma, yielding a color that is notable but not overpoweringly vivid. The undertone is soft, tending slightly toward a peachy or coral note under most lighting. The appearance is moderately sensitive to finish: glossier surfaces amplify its clarity and saturation, while matte finishes produce a softer, more muted visual effect.
PMS 1625 C works reliably for branded displays, POP fixtures, or large-format graphics where a warm, accessible orange communicates friendliness and energy. Take care when specifying on highly textured or absorbent substrates, as the color may shift toward a lighter appearance. Surface preparation and appropriate primer are recommended, particularly when uniformity and true color rendition are critical. PMS 1625 C is less stark and aggressive compared to more saturated or deeper oranges, making it a practical choice when overt boldness is undesirable.
Similar colors:
PMS 162 C: Slightly lighter and less saturated, with a softer, more pastel quality.
PMS 1645 C: Darker and more chromatic, pushing toward a fuller, redder orange.
PMS 1565 C: Lighter and less colorful, exhibiting more of a peach-beige undertone.

When using Pantone PMS 1625 C in pop-ups or retail spaces, focus on how lighting and surface type can affect the color's appearance. This orange is sensitive to lighting changes and finish level. Always evaluate samples of PMS 1625 C under the lighting conditions planned for the installation. For high-traffic areas, choose a durable finish suited for wear and cleaning. Sampling the color on your actual substrate before full-scale use is recommended to confirm appearance and acceptance by brand stakeholders. Proper priming and surface prep are critical for even, brand-consistent results.
Pantone PMS 1625 C, like many vivid oranges, may require focused technique for uniform results on large surfaces. Use consistent spray or rolling methods, and plan coverage for overlapping passes to avoid visible banding or variations. Highly absorbent or textured substrates may cause the color to lighten or look spotty if not properly sealed and primed first. Apply multiple thin coats instead of one heavy coat, and allow full drying between applications. Always test your process on a sample area to confirm uniformity before beginning the full installation.
Pantone PMS 1625 C is a standardized reference used to create a consistent visual identity across brand environments such as pop-ups, displays, and marketing installations. The PMS 1625 C code is a color communication standard, not a paint formula or finish specification. It provides a target color that can be matched across different materials and production runs. Using the exact PMS code supports clear communication between vendors, ensuring brand colors stay recognizable and aligned across physical and digital projects.
When specifying Pantone PMS 1625 C for plastics or other low energy surfaces, note that adhesion may be difficult without specialized primers. Not all plastics accept paint equally; some may require an adhesion promoter or surface preparation to ensure the color bonds and appears uniform. Always test PMS 1625 C paint on a sample of the actual material to check both color appearance and adhesion before production or installation. Skipping this step can risk color mismatch or failure of the paint layer, especially for brand-facing applications.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 1625 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
