Pantone™ PMS 141 C

When using Pantone PMS 141 C for prototypes or concept models, select a paint format that provides a visually accurate brand reference, such as spray paint or paint pens. Keep in mind that the purpose is to visibly align with brand expectations, not to match other products for repair or blending. Evaluate PMS 141 C in your prototype under the lighting and finish conditions expected for your final application, since both can affect how this warm yellow appears. Testing on your intended substrate helps confirm the look and surface effect before moving forward with larger-scale builds.

Before committing to a large production run with Pantone PMS 141 C, it is best to order a sample in the exact finish and format you intend to use. Apply the sample to your specified substrate and review the results under the actual lighting conditions of the final installation. This process allows you and any stakeholders to confirm the color appearance and ensure brand standards are met before full rollout, helping to avoid surprises after installation.

Pantone colors are identified by both a name and a code, such as PMS 141 C, where '141' is the specific color and 'C' typically refers to a coated reference. When ordering paint to match a Pantone color, always use the full code, including any suffix, to avoid errors. This practice ensures you receive the correct color formulation and aligns your order with Pantone standards for consistent brand representation across materials.

Pantone PMS 141 C references a standard color target for brand and display uses, but is not a touch-up or repair specification. If you require a touch-up quality match to an existing part or finish, send a sample part for a custom match rather than ordering by Pantone code alone. This approach helps account for differences due to original materials, processes, and aging, which are not addressed by the standard Pantone reference.

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.

We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
