Pantone™ PMS 128 C

One standard spray can of Pantone PMS 128 C typically covers about 15 to 20 square feet per coat under ideal conditions. Actual coverage depends on surface texture, color of the substrate, number of coats, and application technique. Because PMS 128 C is a light yellow with moderate saturation, extra coats may be needed for full hide, especially over dark or uneven surfaces. When planning your project, calculate total square footage and consider ordering extra to account for multiple coats or test areas. For best results, apply over a white or light-colored primer to maximize brightness and coverage.

Pantone PMS 128 C is often specified for prototypes and concept models when accurate brand color representation is required. Choosing the correct format, such as spray paint or brush-in-cap bottle, depends on the project details and materials. Whether a primer is required for Pantone PMS 128 C depends on the surface and application needs. A white or light-colored primer will help the final shade appear cleaner and more saturated and can reduce the number of coats needed. For brand displays, prototypes, and signage, starting with a properly primed surface helps deliver more consistent results.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
