Pantone™ PMS 126 C

PMS 126 C is intended as a brand reference standard and does not specify surface sheen, gloss, or substrate. If you are trying to match an existing coating or manufactured finish, using the PMS 126 C specification will rarely produce an acceptable touch-up result. Variations in application, age, material, and finish will lead to visible differences. For touch-up or repair work, color matching should use a sample from the actual finish, not just the Pantone code.

Coverage for a typical 11 to 12 ounce can of PMS 126 C spray paint is about 20 to 25 square feet per coat on smooth, primed surfaces. Project coverage depends on surface texture, application method, and the number of coats required. Deeper yellow shades like PMS 126 C may require extra coats for full color uniformity, especially over contrasting or porous surfaces. Estimate needs by measuring total square footage and planning for 2 coats for even appearance on most projects.

For accurate comparison of PMS 126 C paint, use samples that are fully dry and cured. Evaluate color under the same lighting as the final environment, as lighting strongly affects its appearance. Place color samples on the same substrate type and finish you plan to use. Avoid judging wet paint or using inconsistent substrates, since those can introduce unwanted color shifts not related to the PMS 126 C color itself.

Pantone PMS 126 C is available as custom spray paint, paint pens, brush-in-cap bottles, epoxy, urethane, and select housepaint formats. Choose spray paint for brand displays, signage, or prototypes needing even coverage and fast turnaround. Paint pens and brush-in-cap bottles work for small areas, models, or detail work. For larger or specialized surfaces, epoxy and urethane options are available where offered. Pick the product based on your project type and application method to achieve the best brand result.

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
