This is a soft, medium-light rosy mauve with a muted, slightly gray cast rather than a clean pink. The red base gives it warmth, while the cool shift keeps it from reading overly coral. Its lower saturation makes the color feel subdued and controlled instead of bright.

MyPerfectColor custom spray paint matched to the selected brand color can be useful on small parts and accessories where a softened rosy finish is needed, such as switch plates, vent covers, speaker grilles, picture frames, shelf brackets, cabinet hardware, mailboxes, railings, and PVC trim pieces. It also works for removable metal, plastic, wood, wicker, or previously coated components after proper preparation.

This color is not especially high-chroma, so coverage is usually more straightforward than with vivid accent colors. Even so, darker or uneven substrates can influence the final appearance, and sheen differences can make the color read a little richer or grayer. Surface prep, primer choice, and film build still matter when matching a known color on a real object.

Frequently Asked Questions About Match of Valspar™ 1005-4A Dawn's Reveal *

How do I confirm Valspar 1005-4A Dawn's Reveal before ordering a MyPerfectColor match?

Confirm Valspar 1005-4A Dawn's Reveal from a physical swatch or a known existing color reference, not from a screen image alone. MyPerfectColor makes a custom-matched paint to the selected Valspar color standard, so verifying the target first helps avoid ordering the wrong match.

If you are matching an existing part, make sure the reference you use is the same color and, if possible, the same finish you want to reproduce.

When will MyPerfectColor spray paint matched to Valspar 1005-4A Dawn's Reveal be dry enough to recoat or handle?

MyPerfectColor custom spray paint matched to Valspar 1005-4A Dawn's Reveal is typically dry to the touch within minutes, can usually be recoated in 1 to 2 hours, and is fully cured in about two weeks.

Dry to the touch is not the same as ready for heavy handling. For items like vents, hardware, pipe, or removable panels, allow the coating to cure before tight reassembly, stacking, or regular use.

How much MyPerfectColor spray paint matched to Valspar 1005-4A Dawn's Reveal do I need for my project?

A typical spray can covers about 20 square feet with one coat, but actual coverage depends on the size of the part, surface texture, prep, application method, and how many coats are needed to hide the surface underneath.

Small items like hardware, vents, or trim pieces may take little material, while larger items such as shutters, railings, or longer pipe runs can require more than one can. If the surface is rough, porous, or a strong underlying color shows through, plan for extra coverage.

Will MyPerfectColor's match of Valspar 1005-4A Dawn's Reveal look the same in different lighting and on different surfaces?

Not always. Even when the color match is correct, lighting, sheen, texture, substrate, and nearby surfaces can change how Valspar 1005-4A Dawn's Reveal reads on the finished item.

A metal vent, PVC pipe, hardware piece, or painted trim part can look different from the same color on a swatch or wall. Check the finished item in the lighting where it will be used, with the intended sheen and on the intended surface whenever possible.

Which sheen should I choose when ordering MyPerfectColor paint matched to Valspar 1005-4A Dawn's Reveal?

Choose the sheen based on how the item will be used. Higher sheen finishes usually clean more easily and reflect more light, while lower sheen finishes reduce reflection and can make the same Valspar 1005-4A Dawn's Reveal match read differently on the finished part.

If the item will be handled often or wiped down regularly, sheen choice matters as much as color choice. Select the sheen that fits the object and the wear level before ordering, since the finish changes the final appearance even when the color reference stays the same.
