The SDS is tied to the specific MyPerfectColor product and chemistry, not to the Dulux Gold Standard 53555 color name by itself. If you order a different MyPerfectColor format or chemistry, check the SDS for that exact product.

Before ordering, confirm the color reference, the MyPerfectColor product format, the sheen, and the quantity. Gold Standard 53555 is a reference color, and the custom-matched paint is made by MyPerfectColor to match that target. Because custom-made color matches are not returnable or refundable, it is important to verify the order details before you buy.

Finish changes how much light the coated surface reflects, so the same Gold Standard 53555 match can read differently in matte, satin, semi-gloss, or gloss. The color reference stays the same, but the final look on the part changes with sheen, substrate, and spray application. Choose the finish based on the item's use and the level of reflectivity you need.

Start by cleaning and degreasing the surface, then remove loose material and lightly scuff where the substrate allows it. Mask areas that should not be coated and test the paint on the actual surface before doing the full job. Proper prep matters because metal, plastic, wood, and previously coated parts can all affect how a match of Dulux Gold Standard 53555 looks and adheres.

Pick the finish based on how the part will be used, how often it will be cleaned, and how much reflectivity you want on the finished item. Higher gloss finishes usually clean more easily and show more shine, while lower gloss finishes reduce reflection. Because finish also changes how Gold Standard 53555 reads after spraying, it should be chosen as part of the order, not after the paint arrives.

MyPerfectColor offers custom spray paint matched to Dulux Gold Standard which enables you to conveniently achieve a professional spray-smooth finish. It is difficult to gauge spray paint coverage because it depends on how you apply it and the amount of overspray, but generally the 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat.

MyPerfectColor uses an acrylic enamel which is a fast-drying durable coating suitable for interior or exterior use. This paint sticks well to most surfaces including metal, plastics, powder-coatings, cabinets and primed or previously painted wood.

While MyPerfectColor can provide paint matched to the Dulux Gold Standard, we don't provide any crossover information because this is a subjective determination. Every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, so determining which color is the best approximation is a judgement call.

However, under the color image on a color page there is a link that says "Explore Related Colors". Clicking this link displays colors with similar values and you can look for any colors from the company you want.
