A match of Valspar Brick is a medium-deep red-brown with a warm, earthy undertone and moderate chroma. It reads as a muted warm color rather than a bright red, with enough depth to feel substantial and enough color to stay clearly in the red-brown range.
MyPerfectColor custom spray paint matched to the selected brand color can be useful on mailbox bodies, shutter slats, vent covers, railings, gate hardware, pipe collars, speaker grilles, shelf brackets, frames, and other small parts that need a repeatable warm red-brown finish. It also works well for metal, plastic, wood, and previously coated accessories when a sprayed finish is the practical way to cover irregular shapes or tight details.
Because this is a deeper color, surface prep and film build can affect how even it looks. A contrasting base may show through if coverage is light, and gloss level can make surface texture, sanding marks, or repairs more noticeable. Outdoor parts may need careful prep and additional coats for uniform coverage, especially on edges and mixed-material assemblies.

Start by cleaning the surface and removing any dirt, oil, wax, or grease. If the item is smooth or glossy, use a light scuff where appropriate so the coating has better grip.
Mask off nearby areas and test the finish on the actual surface before coating the full part. That is especially useful when you are applying a match of Brick to metal, plastic, wood, or a previously coated item.
No. The same Brick color match can read differently in matte versus gloss because the finish changes how light reflects off the surface and how deep the color appears.
If you are matching an existing Brick-painted part, try to keep the sheen consistent with the item next to it. MyPerfectColor is matching the Brick color reference, but the final look still depends on the finish and the substrate.
The SDS is tied to the MyPerfectColor product you are ordering, not to the Brick color name by itself. Check the SDS for the exact MyPerfectColor paint chemistry and format you plan to use.
For MyPerfectColor Safety Data Sheets, start here: MyPerfectColor Safety Data Sheets. If you are comparing different product formats, confirm the exact item before using the SDS.
Custom-made Brick color matches should be ordered carefully because MyPerfectColor custom matched colors are made to order and are not returnable or refundable.
Before you place the order, confirm the Brick reference, the MyPerfectColor product type, the sheen, and the quantity. If you are matching a specific part or an existing surface, double-check those details first so you do not end up with the wrong version of Brick.

While we can provide Valspar Brick in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another brand.
However, under the color image on a color page there is a link that says "Explore Colors". Clicking this link displays colors with similar values and you can look for any colors from the brand you want.
Keep in mind that this just shows similar colors based on the color values we have stored in our database. It doesn't mean it is the same or give any approximation about how close the color is. You can play around with the Hue, Lightness and Chroma sliders to expand the selection.
