PMS 2289 U is a Pantone PMS green specified as a standardized brand color reference within the Pantone Matching System. It presents a clean, energetic green character with a light, open feel that reads as modern, optimistic, and visually engaging.
The color appears light in value, with an LRV of 65.82, and leans warm due to a noticeable yellow influence. It shows moderately high saturation, giving it a clear and lively appearance with a yellow-green undertone rather than a blue-green cast.
PMS 2289 U works well in brand-facing displays, signage, and marketing environments where a bright green needs to remain friendly rather than aggressive. Because of its lightness and saturation, it may require additional coats for uniform coverage, especially over darker or uneven substrates, and lighting conditions can noticeably affect its perceived intensity.
Similar colors:
Pantone 2290 U: slightly darker and more saturated, with increased visual weight.
Pantone 2291 U: lighter and softer, with a more pastel-like appearance.
Pantone 368 U: more yellow-forward and brighter, with a more vivid spring-green character.

In Pantone PMS 2289 U, the 'U' indicates the Pantone Uncoated reference. Pantone PMS colors can exist in different series or suffixes, and those references are not interchangeable.
Before ordering, confirm that PMS 2289 U is the exact code specified in your brand standards or project documentation. Ordering the wrong suffix can result in a color that does not meet brand approval, even if the base number looks similar.
Pantone PMS 2289 U paint is custom made to order based on the Pantone reference. Because it is mixed specifically for your order, returns or exchanges are limited.
To reduce risk, confirm the correct Pantone code and suffix, select the right product format and sheen for your application, and consider ordering a sample if the project is high visibility or requires formal brand approval.
Pantone PMS 2289 U is a brand color reference used to create consistent visual identity across marketing materials, displays, exhibits, and branded environments.
The Pantone PMS system provides a shared color target so different vendors and materials can align visually. It defines the intended appearance, not a specific paint formula or finish.
A standard Pantone PMS 2289 U match is appropriate when the Pantone reference is the primary color target, such as for branded signage, displays, exhibit components, prototypes, and marketing installations.
For large or permanent installations, or when appearance must be approved under specific lighting or substrates, ordering a sample first can help confirm coverage, sheen, and visual alignment before full production.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

To make spray paint matched to Pantone PMS 2289 U. MyPerfectColor uses an acrylic enamel which is a fast-drying durable coating suitable for interior or exterior use. MyPerfectColor custom spray paint enables you to conveniently achieve a professional spray-smooth finish in any color in any sheen. It sticks well to most surfaces including metal, plastics, powder-coatings, cabinets and primed or previously painted wood.
The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.
While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 2289 U in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
