Keep in mind that Pantone PMS codes define an appearance reference, not a paint formula. The final look of PMS 2281 U can vary based on substrate, finish, and lighting. For high-visibility or multi-material builds, it is often wise to review a sprayed sample on the actual material before full production.

PMS 2281 U is a vivid Pantone color, and like many saturated hues it may have lower hide than neutral colors. This means the underlying surface can influence the final appearance.

Using an appropriate undercoat and planning for multiple coats can help achieve more even coverage and color uniformity. Coverage performance can vary by substrate and paint format, so testing on your actual surface is recommended when consistency is critical.

Surface texture can noticeably change how PMS 2281 U is perceived. Smooth surfaces tend to reflect light more evenly, while textured surfaces introduce shadowing that can make the same color appear darker or less saturated.

When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.
