PMS 2249 U is a Pantone PMS color specified as a visual reference for brand and identity-driven projects. It presents a composed green appearance with a contemporary, professional feel that avoids high brightness or visual intensity.
The color appears mid-depth with an LRV of 34.55 and reads slightly cool in most lighting conditions. Its moderate saturation and muted undertone help reduce glare and visual sharpness compared to more vivid greens.
PMS 2249 U performs best on well-prepared, consistent surfaces where even application can be maintained. Moderate saturation means surface contrast, sheen choice, and lighting can influence uniformity, so test applications are recommended for high-visibility brand elements.
Similar colors:
PMS 2248 U: slightly lighter and more open, with less visual weight.
PMS 2250 U: darker and more grounded, with increased depth.
PMS 7730 U: more neutral and subdued, with reduced green clarity.

Pantone PMS 2249 U is a Pantone color reference, not a formula that directly converts to other paint brand color systems. Most paint manufacturers use their own proprietary palettes, so any cross reference is an approximation rather than an exact match.
This limitation is especially important for vivid or saturated Pantone colors, where small shifts can be noticeable. If brand accuracy matters, the safest approach is to order a Pantone matched paint for PMS 2249 U and evaluate it on your actual substrate under your intended lighting.
Shipping time for Pantone PMS 2249 U matched paint depends on your location and the shipping method you select at checkout. Production time and carrier transit time are separate, and both should be considered when planning around deadlines.
If your project has a fixed installation or event date, it is best to order early and avoid relying on minimum transit estimates. This helps reduce risk if weather, carrier delays, or routing changes occur.
The 'U' in Pantone PMS 2249 U indicates the Pantone reference series used for that color. Pantone codes can exist in different series or contexts, and those differences can affect how the color is intended to be viewed or matched.
When ordering paint, always confirm that PMS 2249 U is the exact reference specified in your brand standards or project documentation. Ordering the wrong series can result in a color that does not meet brand expectations.
Pantone PMS 2249 U matched paint can be applied to many plastics, but plastics vary widely in surface energy and adhesion behavior. Some plastics require specific primers or surface preparation to ensure proper adhesion.
Before full production, test the PMS 2249 U paint on the actual plastic you plan to use, including the primer system if required. This step helps confirm adhesion, appearance, and durability before committing to larger quantities.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

It sticks well to most surfaces including metal, plastics, powder-coatings, cabinets and primed or previously painted wood.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 2249 U in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
