Pantone™ PMS 7534 U

Ordering PMS 7534 U means you are purchasing paint custom matched to the Pantone PMS 7534 U visual color standard. Pantone PMS is a color communication system, not a paint formula, coating process, or finish specification.

The paint is mixed to visually align with the Pantone reference under standard viewing conditions. It is not intended to replicate ink behavior, printing results, or how the color appears on paper. Differences in material, sheen, lighting, and application method will affect the final appearance.

Surface texture has a direct impact on how PMS 7534 U is perceived. Smooth surfaces reflect light more evenly, making the color appear cleaner and more uniform. Textured or porous surfaces create small shadows that can make the same color look darker, duller, or less consistent.

If PMS 7534 U is being used for brand-facing elements, it is best to evaluate the color on the actual substrate and texture you plan to use, especially for high-visibility displays.

Coverage per spray can of PMS 7534 U depends on surface texture, spray technique, and the number of coats required. Smooth, primed surfaces require less paint than raw or textured materials.

As a planning guideline, many users estimate one spray can per small sign panel, display component, or prototype surface. Projects requiring strong color uniformity or multiple coats should plan for additional cans to ensure consistent coverage.

A standard Pantone PMS 7534 U match is appropriate when the Pantone reference itself is the approved color target. This is common for brand-facing signage, displays, exhibits, prototypes, and marketing installations where visual alignment to Pantone standards is required.

For large or permanent installations, or projects requiring formal brand approval, it is often recommended to review a physical sample under the actual lighting and on the final substrate before full production.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.
