Pantone™ PMS 9380 U

Pantone PMS 9380 U is a color reference, not a specific paint or chemistry. Safety practices and VOC levels depend on the exact product format you order, such as spray paint or another coating type.

Before use, review the Safety Data Sheet for the specific product you receive and follow the handling, ventilation, and personal protection guidance listed there. If the application environment has limits on odor, airflow, or occupancy timing, confirm those requirements against the selected product before ordering.

Plastics and low-surface-energy materials vary widely, so adhesion for a Pantone PMS 9380 U match is not automatic. Some plastics require specific surface preparation or a compatible adhesion-promoting primer.

Always test the full paint system on the actual plastic substrate before production. This confirms adhesion, appearance, and durability for your material and avoids surprises after installation.

For pop-ups and retail environments, evaluate Pantone PMS 9380 U under the actual lighting where it will be displayed. Lighting type and intensity can noticeably change how the color appears.

Confirm the selected finish and product format meet durability expectations for handling, assembly, and the duration of the installation. Sampling on the real substrate and reviewing it on site before full production is strongly recommended.

Pantone PMS 9380 U is available as custom spray paint and other paint formats for branding and display applications, such as paint pens or brush-in-cap bottles where offered.

Choose the format based on application method, part size, and finish requirements. Spray paint is typically used for panels, props, and larger surfaces, while smaller-format options are better suited for controlled application on small components. If appearance approval is critical, order a sample in the intended format before committing to a larger quantity.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.

We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
