Pantone™ PMS 2755 U

PMS 2755 U is a Pantone PMS color used as a visual reference to create consistent brand experiences. It defines a target appearance so designers, fabricators, and printers can align on the same color intent across displays, signage, and environments.

The PMS code is not a paint formula or finish specification. When ordering paint matched to PMS 2755 U, the goal is visual alignment to the Pantone reference, understanding that substrate, sheen, and lighting can influence the final appearance.

PMS 2755 U matched paint can be applied to plastics, but results depend on the specific plastic type. Many plastics have low surface energy and may require a compatible primer or adhesion promoter to achieve proper bonding.

Because plastic formulations vary widely, testing the PMS 2755 U paint system on the actual material is strongly recommended before production. This helps confirm adhesion, coverage, and visual appearance under real conditions.

Durability of PMS 2755 U spray paint depends on surface preparation, the paint type selected, and the environment where it will be used. Proper cleaning and priming are critical to achieving consistent performance.

Exposure to handling, abrasion, UV light, or chemicals can affect longevity. If durability is a concern, choose the paint system and any optional topcoat based on the expected conditions and confirm performance with a sample.

The Safety Data Sheet is tied to the specific paint product and chemistry, not to the Pantone color itself. PMS 2755 U identifies the color target, but the SDS depends on the selected paint format and formulation.

After choosing your product type, you can locate the corresponding SDS in the SDS library for that product. Review the SDS to confirm handling, safety, and compliance details before use.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.

We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
