PMS 7590 C is a standardized color in the Pantone PMS collection, recognized for its measured, understated appearance. The color conveys a balanced, earthy vibe—practical, approachable, clean, and natural, with a restrained and utilitarian presence. Its medium lightness and muted chroma make it appropriate for both functional and design-oriented specifications where visual neutrality and approachable identity are required.

PMS 7590 C appears as a medium-light brown with moderate light reflectance (LRV 49.51). The color tends toward a warm appearance, with slight yellow and tan undertones. Saturation is moderate, avoiding both high chroma vibrancy and excessive dullness. The undertone maintains a subtle, earthy beige quality that remains consistent under varied lighting. The color is relatively stable across typical finishes, but final appearance will be warmer and more subdued in matte compared to gloss.

PMS 7590 C works well where a natural, muted brown is called for in branding, displays, or signage. It is suitable for environments emphasizing approachability and clarity without calling attention to the color itself. Users should verify actual appearance in final finish and under installation-specific lighting, as moderate browns may shift slightly in warmth and depth. This color is less likely to show surface imperfections than darker or more saturated browns, but surface uniformity and consistent lighting are still recommended for brand-critical projects. Relative to more saturated browns, PMS 7590 C offers easier integration into grounded, neutral, or earth-toned palettes.

Similar colors:
PMS 7510 C – Slightly lighter and warmer, with a more pronounced yellow undertone.

PMS 4635 C – Deeper and darker, carrying a richer, more chocolate-like hue.

PMS 7529 C – Cooler and more gray-neutral, with lower chroma and less visible warmth.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 7590 C

Why does PMS 7590 C sometimes look different under various lighting conditions?

The appearance of PMS 7590 C can change in different lighting because the color interacts with the light source and its environment. A medium-light brown like PMS 7590 C may appear warmer, cooler, lighter, or darker depending on whether you are under daylight, fluorescent, or LED lights. For accurate brand results, evaluate PMS 7590 C in the actual lighting where it will be installed, as this helps ensure the perceived color aligns with your expectations and brand standards.

How should I choose between matte and gloss finishes for PMS 7590 C in a branding project?

For PMS 7590 C, selecting matte or gloss impacts both the color''s appearance and its effectiveness in your setup. Matte finish will make PMS 7590 C look warmer and more subdued, helping avoid glare, especially in settings with strong overhead lighting or where reflections may distract. Gloss provides greater punch, depth, and color saturation but can introduce glare and highlight surface variations. Consider the viewing distance, site lighting, and whether avoiding visible reflections or maximizing brand color impact is the priority for your project.

Where can I find the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for paint made in PMS 7590 C?

The Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for paint made in PMS 7590 C depends on the specific type of paint or coating you order, not the color itself. To access the correct SDS, select the product type you plan to use with PMS 7590 C and visit the SDS library for that product. The color code does not affect the safety or handling properties of the base paint.

How quickly will I receive my paint matched to Pantone PMS 7590 C?

Can I use the Pantone PMS 7590 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

How do I convert PMS 7590 C to a different color from another paint company?

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 7590 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information.
