PMS 7561 C is a Pantone PMS system color primarily used for brand identity, marketing, and display fabrication applications. It presents as an understated, grounded, medium-dark brown with a warm, muted character and a restrained saturation. The overall vibe is stable, utilitarian, muted, organic, and professional.
PMS 7561 C has a low light reflectance value (LRV 11.26), indicating a distinctly dark appearance. The color shows a pronounced warm tendency, leaning towards a soft golden-brown rather than a cool or neutral brown. It exhibits moderate chroma, providing color presence without visual loudness. PMS 7561 C’s yellowish-brown undertone creates an organic, earthy foundation. The color’s muted saturation makes it less sensitive to surface texture or finish shifts compared to more saturated browns.
PMS 7561 C is often specified for branded display fixtures, packaging accents, or retail environments intending to express warmth and groundedness. The color is used in wayfinding and exhibit design where a natural, unintrusive background is desirable.
PMS 7561 C works well when a brand or display project needs to communicate stability or natural authenticity without overwhelming nearby elements. In low-LRV colors, even moderate differences in surface sheen or lighting can affect perceived depth, so it is important to evaluate this color on the target substrate and in finished lighting. Compared to more saturated browns, PMS 7561 C will generally provide more reliable coverage and less risk of visual glare in glossy finishes.

When specifying PMS 7561 C for a marketing or brand installation, it is important to know that color matching challenges can arise because Pantone colors were designed for standardization across printing, not paint. MyPerfectColor specializes in matching PMS 7561 C as precisely as possible using established reference standards, but results may still vary based on chosen finish, substrate material, and lighting. Surface sheen and environmental conditions, especially with darker colors like PMS 7561 C, can affect how the color appears in context. Always review samples on your target material and under finished lighting conditions before final production to ensure visual alignment with brand expectations.
Ordering a standard Pantone match for PMS 7561 C is appropriate when the goal is to achieve visual brand consistency for marketing, display, exhibit, or prototype applications. This includes projects where the Pantone PMS 7561 C code is specified as the color target for signage, branded fixtures, or retail displays, and where the visual result matters more than exact substrate or process-specific matching. If you need PMS 7561 C for a project where formal brand approval or multi-material matching is required, consider evaluating samples on the final substrate before production.
For prototypes or concept models needing accurate brand color alignment, selecting PMS 7561 C ensures your team and stakeholders review the intended look before large-scale rollout. Choose a paint format suitable for your model material, such as spray paint for plastics or metals, and apply PMS 7561 C to sample parts or mockups. Always evaluate the color on your actual substrate under relevant lighting. This process allows for visual confirmation and helps avoid costly missteps in full production or installation.
To achieve optimal results when applying PMS 7561 C paint, start by cleaning the surface to remove any dust, grease, or residues. For most surfaces, a combination of degreasing and light scuffing with a fine abrasive pad will improve paint adhesion. After cleaning, ensure the surface is fully dry. For critical applications, perform a test spot with PMS 7561 C in an inconspicuous area to check adhesion and color acceptance before proceeding with the full project.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 7561 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
