Pantone™ PMS 2350 C

PMS 2350 C is defined by Pantone as part of a unique standardized system used primarily for brand and visual communication. Most paint companies create their own distinct color ranges, so their colors do not correspond exactly to Pantone PMS colors. Vivid hues like PMS 2350 C are especially difficult to convert across brands because differences in colorants, finishes, and manufacturing processes can cause significant shifts in appearance. For brand consistency, always specify PMS 2350 C by its Pantone code rather than trying to cross-reference to a different paint brand.

To achieve consistent results with PMS 2350 C on metal or powder-coated parts, be sure to properly clean and scuff the surface before painting. Existing coatings, gloss levels, or contaminants can affect both adhesion and final color appearance. Saturated colors like PMS 2350 C may also require multiple coats for even coverage. If possible, test a sample on the actual substrate to confirm appearance and performance before proceeding with your full project.

PMS 2350 C is used in sign, display, and exhibit fabrication when a specific branded color is required for visual impact and recognition. The Pantone code serves as an exact color reference, which helps ensure consistency across various materials and installations. It is best practice to confirm your result with a sample coated on the actual substrate since lighting, sheen, and underlying material can all influence the final appearance of PMS 2350 C in production.

PMS 2350 C is a bold, saturated color with a low light reflectance value. This means it may require multiple coats for full, uniform coverage, especially over contrasting surfaces. Using an appropriate undercoat, such as a white or color-tinted primer, can help improve consistency and reduce the total number of topcoats needed. Planning for extra coats can ensure the final result accurately reflects the intended PMS 2350 C target in branded and display applications.

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.

We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
