PMS 2195 C from the Pantone PMS collection is a deep, saturated blue-purple with a cool, energetic appearance and assertive visual presence. This color is direct, bold, and technical, often used to draw attention or signal a modern, creative brand intent. The color's low light reflectance and high chroma contribute to its impactful, sophisticated vibe in display and branding applications.
PMS 2195 C registers as a dark color, with an LRV of 17.46. The color is distinctly cool in tendency, featuring a blue-violet hue. PMS 2195 C demonstrates high chroma, making it highly saturated and vivid. The undertone contains substantial blue with a secondary purple influence, minimizing warmth. PMS 2195 C can appear deeper or more subdued in matte finishes; gloss finishes may increase its vibrancy and perceived saturation.
PMS 2195 C is frequently specified for visual branding where a bold, identifying mark is required—such as feature walls, retail fixtures, or branded environmental graphics. For best visual alignment with PMS standards, always compare a physical painted sample to both a Pantone swatch and under the final installed lighting. The deep, saturated nature of this color means coverage may require additional coats, especially over light or uneven substrates. This color responds strongly to sheen variations and ambient light, performing best when surface preparation ensures a uniform substrate and when finish is selected to match intended brightness and vibrancy.
This Pantone PMS color is defined by the Pantone Matching System standard. Evaluate the color using a physical Pantone reference and a real paint sample in the intended lighting and finish. Paint appearance varies by finish and lighting.

PMS 2195 C is a deep and highly saturated blue-purple that can be challenging to match precisely, especially across different substrates and finishes. MyPerfectColor uses physical Pantone standards and color-matching processes to deliver visually accurate results. However, due to the brightness and chroma of PMS 2195 C, appearance can vary depending on lighting, material, and finish. Always compare a painted sample to a Pantone swatch under your actual site lighting before final approval for brand-facing projects.
When specifying PMS 2195 C, choose the paint type based on the project's exposure and durability needs. For indoor brand displays, studios, or exhibits, interior-grade paints are typically sufficient. For exterior signage or installations exposed to weather, select an exterior-grade paint for best longevity and color retention. MyPerfectColor offers PMS 2195 C in several formats suitable for both uses. Always confirm performance requirements for your specific environment before ordering.
Yes, the appearance of PMS 2195 C can change notably based on surface texture and finish. Matte or textured surfaces may make the color appear deeper or more subdued, while gloss finishes can make it seem more vibrant and saturated. Uneven or rough substrates may also affect how uniform the color looks, especially with highly saturated colors like PMS 2195 C. Always evaluate a painted sample on the actual surface type and under final lighting conditions to confirm the effect before full production.
Painting plastics or other low-surface-energy materials with PMS 2195 C may require special primers or surface preparation for proper adhesion. Different plastics respond differently, so always test both adhesion and color appearance on a sample of your actual material before moving to production. This approach helps ensure both brand color accuracy and coating durability with PMS 2195 C in marketing or display applications.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
