PMS 7526 C is part of the Pantone PMS (Pantone Matching System) collection and is characterized by a dark, earthy appearance with visible warmth and richness. Its vibe can be described as substantial, robust, grounded, technical, and professional. This color is often sought for its ability to deliver a visually steady presence, especially in branded environments or materials needing to convey reliability without appearing stark or harsh.

PMS 7526 C appears as a deep, low-reflectance brown, with an LRV of 9.54 indicating low lightness. The color has a distinct warm tendency, significantly influenced by a reddish undertone evident in its composition. The saturation level is moderately high, imparting strong color presence without the visual intensity of more chromatic reds. The undertone is predominantly red-brown, offering a richness that avoids orange or yellow shifts. PMS 7526 C is somewhat sensitive to finish selection; gloss finishes can intensify its depth, while matte finishes may reduce its perceived warmth.

PMS 7526 C is most effective where a warm, stable brown is required for brand presence, signage, or display elements. It performs reliably across a range of substrates, but its low light reflectance means it may appear even darker in low light or in matte finishes. When specifying this color, ensure lighting conditions are consistent with final installation to maintain intended warmth. Compared to other deep browns, PMS 7526 C maintains greater visual richness and saturative depth, which can help anchor visual schemes without shifting into near-black or charcoal territory. Proper substrate preparation is important to prevent uneven coverage, as deeper colors often require more careful application for uniform appearance.

Pantone PMS colors are standardized color references used for brand consistency across vendors and materials. PMS codes specify an exact color target and are not a paint formula or finish specification. Color appearance may vary depending on substrate, finish, and lighting. Pantone colors should not be used for touch-up or repair applications.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 7526 C

How do I confirm I am ordering the correct Pantone PMS 7526 C color for my brand standards?

When specifying Pantone PMS 7526 C, always verify the full code, including any suffix such as 'C' for coated, to ensure alignment with your brand standards. Pantone codes can include prefixes or suffixes that identify variations in material or finish, so check your documentation before placing an order. This reduces the risk of inconsistencies in brand presentation across different projects and vendors.

How does sheen choice affect the appearance of Pantone PMS 7526 C in branding applications?

Sheen has a significant impact on how Pantone PMS 7526 C is perceived. A gloss finish can intensify the depth and warmth of this deep brown, making it appear richer and slightly darker. Matte finishes may soften the warmth and cause the color to appear flatter, especially under low light. Consider viewing distance, substrate type, and desired brand impact when choosing a sheen, and aim to match the finish to your brand guidelines if possible.

What should I consider when using Pantone PMS 7526 C for prototype or concept models?

Pantone PMS 7526 C is commonly used in prototypes and concept models to evaluate how brand colors appear on real materials. Choose a paint format that suits your prototype substrate, such as spray paint or brush-in-cap, and test the color under the expected lighting. Substrate texture, finish, and light conditions can all affect how accurately the prototype represents the final color. Perform a small-scale test to ensure the result meets your visual goals for brand alignment.

How much area does a spray can of Pantone PMS 7526 C typically cover and how do I estimate quantities?

A typical spray can of Pantone PMS 7526 C covers about 20 to 25 square feet per coat, but actual coverage can vary based on surface texture, application technique, and substrate color. Deep colors like PMS 7526 C may require additional coats for full uniformity, especially on lighter or uneven surfaces. Assess your total project surface area and factor in two or more coats to ensure full coverage. When in doubt, ordering an extra can helps account for any unexpected needs.

How quickly will I receive my paint matched to Pantone PMS 7526 C?
All paint is custom-made to order. While most orders ship within 48 hours, the lead-time for paint made to match Pantone PMS 7526 C depends on the type of paint needed. Interior and exterior house paints usually ship within 1 to 3 business days, while custom spray paint typically takes 3-5 business days to ship. The transit time depends on your location and the shipping method you choose. If your need is immediate, select Expedited Production during checkout. Can I use the Pantone PMS 7526 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
