PMS 7519 C is part of the Pantone Matching System (Pantone PMS) collection, a widely used standardized color library for professional brand and identity specification. This color conveys a grounded, professional, muted, and understated vibe. It is frequently selected for applications demanding visual stability or an earthy tone without overt warmth. The appearance and function are particularly tailored to environments and products where a sense of durability, seriousness, and practical neutrality is needed.

PMS 7519 C appears as a dark brown, reinforced by a low Light Reflectance Value (LRV 9.01). The color tends toward a neutral-cool direction, lacking pronounced red or yellow warmth. PMS 7519 C has moderate to low chromatic intensity, resulting in a subdued and earthy impression. The undertone is ashy and muted, giving it an almost taupe-like character. PMS 7519 C is sensitive to finish; glossier finishes may slightly increase its perceived richness, while matte applications can emphasize its neutral, understated quality.

PMS 7519 C is most effective when a design calls for a deep, neutral tone that avoids both overt warmth and excessive coolness. It can serve as a visual anchor in compositions with lighter or more saturated colors, or when subtle contrast with dark neutrals is desired. When used in large areas or under low lighting, the color may appear even deeper and more subdued. Care should be taken in surface preparation to prevent uneven appearance, which is more noticeable with such dark, muted colors. PMS 7519 C maintains neutrality across most commercial lighting, but fluorescent or cooler LEDs may increase its ashy qualities.

Similar colors:
PMS 7554 C—darker and slightly cooler, providing a more charcoal-like appearance.

PMS 2322 C—shares earthy qualities but is warmer and slightly more olive in tone.

PMS 7532 C—lighter and with a more pronounced yellow-brown undertone, making it less muted than PMS 7519 C.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pantone™ PMS 7519 C

How can I make sure my PMS 7519 C orders look consistent each time I reorder?

To maintain consistent results for PMS 7519 C across multiple orders, always select the same paint type, sheen, and application method for each reorder. Use the same approval process or Pantone standard for every batch to reduce minor visual differences that can result from changing materials or finishes. If consistency is critical, retain a sample of your approved paint for direct comparison.

What steps should I follow to buy paint matched to Pantone PMS 7519 C on MyPerfectColor?

To order paint matched to PMS 7519 C, select the paint format you need such as spray paint, paint pen, or housepaint. Choose the sheen and quantity required, then confirm your choices before adding to cart. Double-check that PMS 7519 C is correctly entered to ensure you receive the intended color. If your project has specific requirements, add any notes or review specifications before placing your order.

Are there special coverage or hide considerations when using PMS 7519 C paint?

PMS 7519 C is a dark, muted tone and generally offers solid coverage, especially compared to very bright or saturated Pantone colors. However, surface preparation is important for an even result, as uneven surfaces or contrasting undercoats can show through darker, low-LRV colors. For best results, use a uniform primer or base coat and apply paint in multiple thin coats if needed for full coverage and a consistent, professional brand appearance.

What is the typical lead time for paint matched to Pantone PMS 7519 C?

Paint matched to PMS 7519 C is made to order, and the production lead time depends on the selected paint type and current production schedule. Most orders ship within a few business days, but specialty formats or large quantities may require additional time. Plan ahead if your project requires delivery by a specific date and review your confirmation email for the latest status.

Can I use the Pantone PMS 7519 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
