PMS 7441 C is a Pantone Matching System (PMS) color widely used for consistent brand and marketing applications. The color is distinguished by its clean, saturated violet hue, technical clarity, and modern, energetic appearance. Vibe attributes include bold, impactful, engaging, and visually assertive. As with all Pantone PMS colors, PMS 7441 C serves as a visual standard for accurate specification and reproduction across various print and display materials.

PMS 7441 C appears as a medium-dark violet with noticeable saturation. The color has a cool overall tendency, leaning more towards blue-violet than red. This color is highly chromatic and visually strong, displaying intensity under most lighting conditions. The undertone remains distinctly violet, free from muted or grayish influences. PMS 7441 C shows finish sensitivity, with gloss or satin finishes enhancing apparent brightness and vibrancy, while matte finishes may cause it to appear slightly muted. The color has a measured LRV of 19.27, indicating a moderate lightness suitable for bold applications without appearing pastel.

PMS 7441 C is appropriate where a vivid, memorable violet is required for brand-critical installations, marketing environments, or corporate identity displays. Evaluate final appearance under the intended lighting and on the final substrate, as cool, saturated violets are particularly sensitive to metamerism and can shift in perception depending on adjacent colors, finish, and ambient light. Ensure proper surface preparation and consider multiple coats for uniform coverage, as highly chromatic violets may show variations if coverage is inconsistent. When compared to other chromatic violets, PMS 7441 C is neither excessively dark nor overly pastel, making it versatile for both primary accents and substantial areas without dominating a palette.

Can I use the Pantone PMS 7441 C for touch up?

Unfortunately, no.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.
