Color summary PMS 9043 C is a Pantone PMS color specified as a visual standard in branding, display fabrication, and industrial design. It presents a clean, airy appearance with a restrained yellow-green cast that remains neutral in most settings.
Color characteristics The color is very light, with an LRV of 80.7, contributing to its open and bright appearance. It leans warm due to its yellow-green hue direction and maintains low saturation, avoiding vividness. The subtle green undertone separates it from true white while keeping the overall impression calm and controlled.
Practical application This color is well suited to light background areas where a softer alternative to white is desired. Even surface preparation and consistent application can help avoid uneven appearance, particularly in angled lighting or glossier finishes. Relative to stronger yellow-greens, it remains quieter and more neutral, supporting brand elements without competing for attention.
Similar colors:
PMS 9042 C: slightly warmer and more yellow, with less green influence.
PMS 9044 C: a touch cooler and more neutral, with reduced warmth.
Pantone 587 C: marginally darker and more chromatic, with clearer yellow-green presence.

Pantone books serve as reference standards for PMS 9043 C but the paint version may appear different depending on finish and the material to which it is applied. Paint on an actual project can vary due to sheen, substrate texture, and application method. It is recommended to test PMS 9043 C paint on your target material and review the appearance under your expected lighting conditions before committing to full production.
The finish you select for PMS 9043 C affects both visual impact and practical performance. Gloss finishes offer more punch and higher color saturation but may show glare or reflections under direct light. Matte finishes reduce glare and are often preferred for close viewing or complex surfaces, but they may appear less vibrant. Your decision should take into account lighting, the typical viewing distance, and the brand requirements for PMS 9043 C. Sampling both finishes on your intended material is encouraged to confirm your choice.
Yes, suffixes such as the 'C' in PMS 9043 C identify specific variants within the Pantone Matching System, often based on material or intended context. It is important to confirm the exact code referenced by your brand standards or project documentation before ordering paint to ensure you match the correct version of PMS 9043 C. Ordering by an incomplete or incorrect code may result in a mismatch with the intended brand standard.
When painting metal or powder-coated surfaces with PMS 9043 C, surface preparation is critical. Parts should be thoroughly cleaned and lightly scuffed to help the new paint adhere. Any previous coatings or varying surface gloss may affect the final appearance and color of PMS 9043 C. It is recommended to test on a sample part before moving forward with production to confirm both adhesion and visual consistency with the PMS 9043 C standard.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 9043 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information.
