Pantone™ PMS 611 C

For PMS 611 C, ensure all samples are viewed under the same lighting, ideally using the type of lighting found in the final branded environment. Place samples on the same substrate or material that will be used in production for an accurate visual match. Always allow paint coatings to fully dry and cure before making approval decisions, as PMS 611 C can shift slightly in appearance during drying. Evaluating color and finish under these controlled conditions helps ensure brand consistency and minimizes approval delays.

When using PMS 611 C for large surfaces, plan for multiple uniform coats, as this yellow-green may have lower hide over dark or contrasting substrates. Use consistent application techniques such as maintaining a steady spray distance or brush angle. Prepare surfaces thoroughly and mix all paint for the project together if possible to avoid color variation. Allow each coat to fully dry before applying the next to achieve even color and finish across the entire area.

The finish you select for PMS 611 C can noticeably impact its visual character. Glossy finishes will make this color look crisper, brighter, and slightly more saturated, accentuating the fresh yellow-green effect. Matte finishes will soften its appearance, sometimes making it look less vibrant and more subdued. Always align your finish choice with your intended visual impact, and confirm with samples before full application to avoid unexpected shifts in the branded environment.

Primer is recommended for PMS 611 C when painting over bare surfaces, dark substrates, or materials that are uneven or glossy. A primer can improve adhesion and help achieve the target color more efficiently by providing a uniform base. This is especially important for lighter or more saturated colors like PMS 611 C, as they may require more coats to reach full coverage without proper priming. Always refer to your paint system or product guidelines for primer compatibility with your substrate.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.

The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

The 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge how much spray you'll need as it is highly dependent on how it is applied. It is better to have too much than run short.
