PMS 2747 C, from the Pantone Matching System collection, provides a dramatic, almost electric blue suitable for environments where clear visual identity is required. The color’s vibe is strong, bold, modern, technical, and authoritative, making it operationally relevant for brand and display projects in diverse material applications.
PMS 2747 C appears very dark, with a low light reflectance value (LRV 2.3), resulting in nearly opaque coverage. The color presents a cool tendency, characteristic of rich blues in its hue class. PMS 2747 C shows strong saturation, resulting in vivid, assertive visual impact. The undertone reads pure blue without green or violet contamination, supporting color consistency under controlled lighting. The color is susceptible to finish sensitivity; gloss or matte levels can alter the perceived brightness and depth.
PMS 2747 C is often specified in corporate branding, especially where an impactful blue is required for signage, exhibits, or environmental branding. The color is frequently used in display fabrication and for prototypes representing brands with a blue-centric palette.
PMS 2747 C is most effective when rich, consistent color is critical for brand or display surfaces. Use this color where lighting allows the full depth of the blue to be appreciated—avoid low-light installations where the color may read as nearly black. Surface preparation is important for saturated blues to avoid uneven coverage, and multiple coats may be required on light substrates. Gloss, satin, or matte finishes will each influence the perceived saturation and clarity of PMS 2747 C; sample in project-specific conditions before finalizing.

When you order PMS 2747 C as paint, you are requesting a color formulated to visually match the Pantone PMS 2747 C color standard. Pantone PMS codes are used as precise visual references to guide brand consistency across materials and vendors. Ordering this color does not specify a particular paint formula, chemical makeup, or finish. Instead, the paint is custom mixed to approximate the target appearance of PMS 2747 C under standard conditions, using your selected paint type and finish. Always review sample results on your intended substrate and lighting for critical applications.
PMS 2747 C is a highly saturated, dark blue with strong visual impact, but colors like this usually have lower hide on light substrates. For best results, plan on using an appropriate primer or undercoat, especially when coating light or uneven surfaces. Multiple coats may be needed to achieve uniform, rich color. Testing a sample area first helps you confirm coverage and avoid unexpected substrate show-through. Proper surface prep supports best brand color consistency with PMS 2747 C.
For PMS 2747 C spray paint, apply several light coats rather than one heavy coat. Allow proper drying or flash time between each coat to build color evenly and avoid runs. This method helps achieve a smooth, consistent finish and better coverage, which is important for dark, saturated hues like PMS 2747 C. Read product instructions and test on a sample piece before full application for best results.
Safety and VOC requirements for PMS 2747 C depend entirely on the type of paint or coating you select. Always consult the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for your chosen product before use, and follow all manufacturer guidelines for ventilation, handling, and disposal. If you need to meet particular VOC or workplace safety targets, specify this before ordering so you receive a product that aligns with your project needs. Use appropriate personal protective equipment and work in a well-ventilated area whenever possible.
Unfortunately, no.
Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, but Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a litany of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerances are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are matching to a swatch in a Pantone book - not to your product.
The only way we can provide a touch-up solution for your product is for you send us a part. We would use the part to create a touch-up grade match. Unfortunately, there isn't an effective way to 'spec' the color well enough to produce a touch up without the part.

While MyPerfectColor can provide PMS 2747 C in paint, we don't provide any crossover information. We've found that every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, especially for a color collection like Pantone which is designed for bright colors and inks.
