Use light, even coats and keep the can moving at a consistent distance from the surface. Overlap each pass slightly and avoid heavy wet coats, since they can create runs, uneven sheen, or a muddy buildup of color.

For a light match like 665 Crewelwork, controlled coats usually give a better result than trying to cover everything at once. Let each coat flash or dry according to the product directions before adding the next coat.

Start by cleaning the surface, removing dust, and degreasing if needed. Lightly scuff smooth or glossy areas where appropriate, then mask off anything that should not be painted.
