RAL 6029 Mint Green Paint

Send a sample when acceptance will be judged against an existing part or strict visual standards. RAL 6029 defines the target color only; sheen and texture from powder vs. liquid can look different even when the color target is correct.

• Send a sample or request a custom/OEM match if: the surface is high-visibility, the repaint area is large or contiguous, an inspector will compare to an existing coated part, or you have a known OEM powder code to match.
• A standard RAL 6029 match is typically acceptable if: you are coordinating across different materials where textures already vary, doing small functional touch-ups, or close visual harmony (not exact duplication) is sufficient.
• If sending a sample: mark the PO as "Match to submitted sample (overrides RAL 6029)", include required gloss level (matte/satin/gloss or 60 degrees GU), desired texture (smooth/fine texture), substrate, and application method. This reduces rework and acceptance risk.

• Verify the exact code and name: confirm "RAL 6029 Mint Green" in writing from the drawing or spec. Do not substitute similar green RAL numbers or names.
• Confirm the reference: ensure the spec really means the RAL Classic standard and not an internal/OEM code that resembles a RAL number.
• Clarify acceptance: will parts be checked against the RAL standard reference, or against an existing part in service? This determines whether a standard match or a sample/OEM match is needed.
• Capture finish details on the PO: required gloss (matte/satin/gloss or 60 degrees GU), texture (smooth/textured), and product type (powder vs. liquid). These prevent mix-ups even when the color code is correct.
• When in doubt, attach the drawing excerpt or a photo of the original label/part and state the acceptance target on the order.

• Liquid touch-up matched to RAL 6029 will protect and visually blend at normal viewing distances, but close inspection or raking light may reveal differences in gloss/texture versus the factory powder coat.
• If the existing part has aged or weathered, fresh RAL 6029 may appear different. If acceptance is against the in-service part, consider a sample-based match to the current appearance.
• Best practices: choose a gloss level close to the existing surface, test a small area first, feather edges lightly, and allow full cure before evaluation. For larger areas or critical cosmetic zones, blend the whole panel or plan a full respray rather than spot touch-up.
• If inspection criteria are strict (cosmetic grade), do not rely on touch-up alone-use a sample/OEM match and align on finish requirements upfront.

• Color target: "RAL 6029 Mint Green" and state the acceptance basis: "match RAL standard" or "match to submitted sample/OEM code (ID...)".
• Finish: gloss requirement (matte/satin/gloss or a 60 degrees gloss value) and any texture (smooth/fine texture). Note that RAL defines color, not coating process.
• Product/process: coating chemistry (e.g., liquid enamel, epoxy, polyurethane), application method (spray/brush), substrate, and primer system if controlled.
