A match of Sherwin Williams SW4011 Mortar reads as a muted warm gray-beige with a soft yellow-beige undertone and moderate depth. It is not a sharp or highly saturated color; the low chroma gives it a quiet, slightly earthy character that can look more gray in some lighting and more beige in others.
MyPerfectColor custom spray paint matched to the selected brand color can be used on PVC pipe, vent covers, switch plates, speaker grilles, brackets, mailboxes, railings, shutters, hardware, shelf supports, and other small parts where a coordinated finish matters. It also works for baskets, frames, furniture accents, and removable fixtures when you need a repeatable match on metal, plastic, wood, or previously coated surfaces.
Because this is a muted mid-light color, finish and substrate can change how it reads. A smooth, well-prepared surface will show the color more evenly, while rough texture or patchy prep can make the warm undertone appear stronger. On darker substrates, a uniform spray build and proper priming can help the color come in evenly.

A match of Sherwin Williams SW4011 Mortar is the color target, but the finished coating can still read differently depending on the light, the sheen you choose, the texture of the part, and the colors or finishes around it. A match of SW4011 Mortar may look a little warmer, cooler, flatter, or brighter once it is on a real surface.
If the painted item will sit right next to an existing coating, check the result on the actual part or on a similar test piece before you commit to the full project. That is especially important when you need the new coating to sit beside older paint, trim, hardware, or fixtures with a different age or texture.
For SW4011 Mortar in MyPerfectColor custom spray paint, dry-to-touch happens within minutes, recoating is typically done in one to two hours, and full curing takes about two weeks. Those are different stages, so dry-to-touch does not mean the coating is ready for hard use or full handling.
If you are coating parts that will be assembled, stacked, or installed soon after painting, plan around the recoat window and give the finish enough time to cure before heavy handling or service.
MyPerfectColor spray paint matched to SW4011 Mortar can stick well to most plastics, but plastics vary a lot. Some are easy to coat and others are low-energy or otherwise difficult, so testing on the actual material is important before you paint the full part.
Using the MyPerfectColor primer for Acrylic Enamel can improve adhesion on difficult plastic surfaces. If the part is a cover, grille, trim piece, or other molded item, clean it well, test first, and use the primer when the substrate or project calls for better bond strength.
Choose the finish based on how you need SW4011 Mortar to perform, not just on the color name. Higher gloss finishes reflect more light, clean more easily, and can make the same color read a little different on the finished item. Lower gloss finishes reduce reflection and usually make surface texture and application marks less noticeable.
If you are matching an existing painted part, try to stay as close as possible to the sheen of the surface you are trying to coordinate. If the item will be handled often or needs easier wipe-downs, a more durable or glossier finish may be the better practical choice if that option is available for the format you are ordering.
Before applying a match of SW4011 Mortar to metal or an already painted surface, clean the part thoroughly, remove grease and contamination, and scuff any glossy coating so the new paint has a better surface to grip. If there is rust, loose paint, or failing old coating, those problems should be addressed first.
The condition of the old coating, including its gloss and texture, can affect how SW4011 Mortar looks after application. If you are coating a fixture, bracket, rail, panel, or other metal part that will stay in service, prepare the surface carefully and test a small area when the existing finish is in questionable condition.

While MyPerfectColor can provide paint matched to the Sherwin Williams SW4011 Mortar, we don't provide any crossover information because this is a subjective determination. Every paint company offers its own unique selection of colors and rarely does a color have an exact equivalent in another company's color collection, so determining which color is the best approximation is a judgement call.
However, under the color image on a color page there is a link that says "Explore Related Colors". Clicking this link displays colors with similar values and you can look for any colors from the company you want.
Keep in mind that this just shows similar colors based on the color values we have stored in our database. It doesn't mean it is the same or give any approximation about how close the color is. You can play around with the Hue, Lightness and Chroma sliders to expand the selection.
