Coverage depends on the surface size, texture, hiding power, application method, and how many coats the project needs. As a planning guide, one can of spray paint typically covers about 20 square feet with one coat. Other paint formats typically cover about 400 to 600 square feet, but rough, porous, or highly contrasting surfaces can reduce practical coverage.

Dry-to-touch, recoating, and full cure are different stages. For spray paint matched to SW4008 Umbra, it is typically dry to touch within minutes, ready for recoating in about one to two hours, and fully cured in about two weeks.

If you need to handle the part, assemble it, or install it, wait for the coating to reach the right stage for that step rather than relying only on a dry-to-touch feel.

Primer needs depend on the substrate, the surface condition, and the paint format you are ordering. For SW4008 Umbra, a primer is not always required, but it usually does not hurt and can improve adhesion.
